Description
This is a procedure to remove the "More Like This" section next to each deviation and the "More Like This" overlay that appears at the bottom of thumbnails. I don't want to be scrolling to click the 'download' button, so this is my solutionDo not tell me this solution doesn't work for your specific browser. If you have a solution for users using a different browser, feel free to post it below. I do not want you to tell me this isn't good enough for you. I'm not here to fix dA's messes; I've provided a solution that worked for me, not a promise that I'll make everyone happy.
Install instructions - Firefox
Ensure you are using FireFox: www.mozilla.org/en-US/products…
Install Stylish: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef…
Restart Firefox
Left click the Stylish Icon at the bottom right of the browser to bring up the menu >> Write New Script >> Blank Style...

but.... this just hide the "more like this" for you, other people who doesn't use stylish can see the more like this on your page.... and what for those who DON'T WANT THAT "BOX" on their pages?....

personally, i dont want to show other people's work on my page....
if that box show works from my friends.... its okay, but nope.... the "more like this" just show popular people's works.... so,i dont want that "box" in my deviations :I....

Thank God, this thing is so damn ugly. DA seems have ADD, "Should we fix chat- OOH LET'S MAKE A HUGE BOX TO SHOWCASE ALL THE ART AN ARTIST DOESN'T WANT TO BE SEEN OR THE WORK OF PEOPLE THEY DON'T KNOW. It worked very well for me in Firefox.
I didn't have a serious problem with MLT but it does seem to be one of the many non-improvements that dA keeps so busy coming up with instead of fixing the things that need fixing. It was also a nuisance when I wanted to look at my stats and had to scroll WAY down to see them.

I don't like scrolling to see the 'download' button. I use the 'download' button far more frequently than the 'More like this' feature, therefore I will remove or minimize the feature in order to use the more useful section of this site. I went through the trouble of coding this up, I thought it would be best to share my approach to save others the time of going through what I did.

Because its size and location detracts from the artist's own deviation on the artist's own page, sending visitors to the pages of other artists.
Imagine you have a new car (or anything really) and wish to show it off to your peeps at school or work or just around the neighborhood. But then someone pulls up right along side you in the latest model Ferrari (or whatever is better than yours). Now everyone is oooh-ing and aaah-ing not over your ride, but someone else's. How would you feel? Now suppose it is someone you have a grudge with. How now? Similar principle.
A fine tool perhaps, but rudely implemented, positioned, and placed. It is fine as a button: it is unobtrusive and yet handy for those who want to use it and all without diminishing the art on the current page.

I agree totally. Plus it shows up on Journals, so if you put up a Commissions Journal, it's pretty obvious that OTHER commissions Journals are gonna pop up too... that's stealing potential customers from you and taking money out of your pocket.
I also have Premium and one of the features is 'NO ADS'... well, not any more, now we are being forced to advertise other dA people. THAT IS STILL ADS!!
I wish they would stop screwing around with useless stuff like this and fix the other problems that already exist on the site. Half the time thumbnails still won't display when I go to my messages/inbox.

I'd like to see them put energy and the weight of the company which is DeviantART to use in dealing with art thieves and demanding off-site instances take down stolen work on behalf of at least the Premium Members. That benefit would garner them more Upgrades to Premium than anything else.
And don't worry, I wouldn't mind if I was being stalked…

It can be helpful, but it's also a distraction when viewing the artwork. The box also can't distinguish between what's in scraps and gallery for choosing what to advertise.
