Can you honestly tell me you would say no? I don't think there is a force on Earth that could keep me from accepting a ride in the TARDIS with The Doctor.

I think I could have done better on this if it weren't for the line-pixilizing issue I have with Sai. Maybe some day I will redo it.

Tom Baker was totally up his own arse, fame went to his head, it doesn't surprise me he wouldn't be in something with other Doctors.

At the time he was so famous and popular, more popular than even Tennant at his most popualr,it's not surprising he got a huge ego and thought himself irreplaceable. The bosses didn't agree though, and fired him He did star in some of the best stories.

The only Doctors i don't like are one and eleven.

LOL! "up his own arse" XD Oh man. I now can imagine 4 with his scarf protruding from naughty places >_< I can imagine that fame went to his head. 4 still has more fans then even Tennant, though I think he's still catching up even though he's not playing the Doctor any more, thanks to reruns.

Yeah, and I hear that, for a long time NO ONE liked 5, but people must have eventually warmed up to him because there's more of him then any other classic Doctor after 4. Though I hear no one likes 6 or 7, which is why 6 went with the whole rainbow out fit, just to piss people off more. He sounds like such a troll, but Frobisher is freaking awesome. (Though I may think that just because he's a penguin.)

I don't mind 11, but I will agree he isn't the best Doctor. He needs some work, seems a rather high on himself some times and I don't like that. OH! And there was that stupid head bonking thing where he smuck his forehead against this guy and the guy suddenly knew the Doctor's entire history, or everything that the Doctor wanted him to know. I know Timelords are supposedly somewhat psychic, but that was just... that was clearly the writers writing themselves out of a corner, and though there's a LOT of things in Doctor Who that you have to take with a grain of salt and suspend your disbelief for... that I just couldn't get over. That annoyed the hell out of me. I don't like being able to tell when the writers write themselves out of a corner. It feels sloppy and unclever, and if the Doctor is anything he is clever so it's not cool.

Eegads I'm chatty today. Sorry for typing your ear off. XD

I think the Colin Baker stories are really intelligent,so i like him. The clothes weren't his choice,he wanted to be all in black a bit like one,but by this time the BBC wanted the show cancelled and tried to make people hate it.They managed to cancel it with 7,but even some of those stories are okay.

Recent episodes have been terrible, Let's Kill Hitler was one of the worst Dr. Who stories ever!!

ParallelPenguins In reply to gorgonbreath [2011-09-24 04:39:24 +0000 UTC]

I don't understand why BBC would want to cancel Doctor Who. It's their top grossing show, even when it was off air. *shakes head*

Yeah I didn't much like the Lets Kill Hitler episode. That also felt a bit forced. All of the stuff so far this season feels forced. It's not cool, but I don't want them to kill off the Doctor, and I don't want him to regenerate just yet. I'm still too attached.

gorgonbreath In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-24 10:06:53 +0000 UTC]

At that time the Director General of the BBC thought Doctor Who was crap and tacky,he hated sci-fi.It was stupid to cancel it ,there will always be an audience.

In the new series everyone dies too much then comes back,it's stupid.I doubt the Doctor will really die there will be some kind of fudge to get him out of it. The reason i don't like Matt has not much do with him as an actor,i just hate Steven Moffat as a writer,it's like bad fanfic.Your liking of the show now depends on how much you like Mary Sue River Song, she and the Doctor are like Moffet's OTP.

There are people who love River and think she's badass, then there's people like me who see her as an annoying Sue type obnoxious smug bitch. Her "Mels" persona in Let's Kill Hitler was the most arrogant, annoying, smirky smug bitch ever! I cheered when Hitler shot her, and that's not right,i should not cheer for Hitler,i feel bad!

ParallelPenguins In reply to gorgonbreath [2011-09-25 02:44:27 +0000 UTC]

Oh River annoys the hell outta me! From the first time she said spoilers and sonic me... UGH! Steven moffat did ok with Sherlock, except for the end of it, and it wasn't until recently there was any hint of season 2 being a go or not. River though can be gone any day now and I would be extra happy. Sure the Doctor deserves love, but that can never be shown cannon because it's too easy to Mary sue that.

gorgonbreath In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-25 10:28:13 +0000 UTC]

Yes!!

Steven Moffat's writing for female characters is really bad in general,River Sue is the worst! He has said in interviews how much he hated Rose, but River is even worse! If he thinks the Doctor deserves an equal he should bring back Romana, she was a real Time Lady.Although perhaps i don't want Moffat getting his hands on and ruing a great character like Romana.

I really enjoyed Sherlock, but again the female character love interest was badly written but this time very flat and one dimensional, she might as well have not been there at all.
Is it just me or was Moriarty really annoying and over the top,a bit like John Simm's Master in Doctor Who,it could have easily been the same character they were so much alike.Maybe it's just me,but i don't like that sort of character, i like villains who are cold calculators.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to gorgonbreath [2011-09-27 13:21:33 +0000 UTC]

He hated Rose? That sucks. I like Rose fairly well. I am not sure if she's my favourite companion, but she's not on the bottom of the ranking for sure.

I haven't seen anything with Romana yet, but I have heard of her. In terms of Timeladies I'd like to know what happened to Susan. Did the Doctor lock her away with the other Timelords too? Did she go nuts like they supposedly all did? (Seeing the End of Time, I know Rassilon went nuts but since you don't see EVERY Timelord you can't be sure they all went nuts or not.) Did something happen to Susan before the Time War? I haven't read any of the books yet, nor have I seen all the Classic stuff that I can yet so I don't know if they have covered that yet or not.

What female character love interest? In Sherlock? Do you mean the girl that Watson dated? She was alright for a side character that you barely pay attention to, but the girl in the morgue wasn't very cool. Kind of one dimensional and annoying. Moriarty was over the top. But as for the Master, I kind of like him when he's over the top just a touch (though it did go more then just a touch with Simm but it was fun anyway).

Villains are awesome when they are cold and calculating, but I do like it when they go overboard a bit, because they are the bad guy and they have room to do that and still be the bad guy. The good guy doesn't really have room to go overboard and still be just the good guy.

gorgonbreath In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-27 13:56:12 +0000 UTC]

I think the writers have forgotten about Susan, the poor dear,i've no idea what happened to her. Both RTD and Moffat don't like the idea of the Doctor having family,so i don't think she'll come back anytime soon. It's a shame about the Time Lords, it would be good to have the Rani back! The Rani could kick River Song's ass!

Yes, sorry i meant Watson's love interest, she was just a plot device for being kidnapped. The girl in the morgue was also boring.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to gorgonbreath [2011-09-27 14:08:30 +0000 UTC]

Awe. I mean I am not a big fan of Susan. Her screaming was annoying as hell, but I do like the idea of the Doctor having family. I'd love to know what happened to his. I'd love to have some cool Timelords back too.

Yeah she could be seen as just a plot device, but she was just in the one episode so I don't think she had enough time to be developed and become more then that. It would be nice if Moffat could write girls better though and use girls as more then plot devices or filler characters.

The doctor seems to have become so miserable and emo lately, it would be cool if he could have at least one Time Lord ally. There's no reason that they can't be written back in,anything can happen in a time travel story.

ParallelPenguins In reply to gorgonbreath [2011-09-27 16:03:56 +0000 UTC]

He has, and angry too. Yeah. I was figuring... if he locked them away at some point... how come he can't just go back and see them. Then it occurred to me that he locked them away from all time altogether, which is sad.

I would love it if there were another actual Timelord/lady in the show, and not just the Master. I mean I want him back too, because the Doctor should have a nemisis, but an ally would be great.

gorgonbreath In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-27 17:51:33 +0000 UTC]

There should be an interesting villain in the show, like the Master, the current villains have been a bit rubbish. The Cybermen and Daleks have become totally weak and the crack in time and the Silence monsters just aren't scary.

It would be great for him to have an ally who's an equal, the Doctor can't have been the only nice Time Lord. For some reason being with Amy and Rory has made him even more miserable,i liked it better when the Doctor and Companion were like Holmes and Watson.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to gorgonbreath [2011-09-27 17:58:37 +0000 UTC]

The weeping angels were pretty scary, at first, but then Eleven got at them, and now they aren't really all that scary at all. I would love it if the Doctor had a real villain to go up against.

I agree. The Doctor can't have been the only nice Timelord. I don't know if being with Amy and Rory has made him more miserable, but he has become more miserable in that time. He needs to give up on the idea that his companions die because of him. Not all of them do, and they are all going to die some day, every one does, so they should get to spend their time with him if they want to (well and if he still wants to be around them too, cuz it's a two way street, right?). Yeah I like it better when the Doctor is happy, or mostly happy at least.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gorgonbreath In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-27 18:11:48 +0000 UTC]

I don't remember any companion dying but Adric,so in all his life on screen he's only lost one, that's not so bad! I wish Tegan had been killed off i always hated her but he managed to get her home safe. I suppose Rory has died a few times, but he keeps coming back,so i don't count him among the dead.

I also prefer a mostly happy and enthusiastic Doctor like 9.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to gorgonbreath [2011-09-27 19:30:25 +0000 UTC]

I think maybe more companions have died in the books and such. I mean permanently died. But then if he loves all his companions, whether as pets or real friends or more then that (I am never quite sure), then even just one dying would be enough to make him regret having a tag along, but then he should have been regretting it a LOT sooner then in the new stuff. So he should be over it by now damnit.

9 was quite angry really, just you didn't see it until the all the cards were down. Otherwise he had this smile on his face that almost seemed false some times. 10 was still very angry and he kept getting angrier, just he was able to be chipper and cheery too. I thought maybe 11 wouldn't be, and he's not as angry. Instead he's kind of emo. The Doctor in the new stuff switches between uber happy and then either deathly angry or awfully emo as if he's manic or something. But he's so much fun when he's happy.

gorgonbreath In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-27 22:40:59 +0000 UTC]

Oh noes! Does this mean 11 is bi-polar! He probably isn't but he does have a strange and slightly creepy personality.

I'm not sure if the books and audios count as being canon, but even so not every companion would have died,it would only have been one or two, they won't have been dropping like flies it's not usually that kind of story.

So yes, he should be over it by now.

One of my friends was in 2 of the audio series,he gets a credit here.[link]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to gorgonbreath [2011-09-28 00:37:44 +0000 UTC]

I don't know if he's bipolar. Probably not. He can be creepy though, and his ego is huge. I think this whole "River kills the Doctor" thing might just pop that bubble some.

I think all the books for 8 at least count as cannon. Though I can't be sure on that. As for the books on the other doctors... I dunno. Some of them do I know, but I am not sure if ALL of them do.

Oh cool. I gotta listen to those. I find radio-play type things to be hard to focus on though. It's like listening to music. I fade in and out of paying attention because I have to do something else while listening or I fall asleep.

gorgonbreath In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-28 09:44:18 +0000 UTC]

I'm going to take a guess that the Doctor doesn't really die or the show would end completely since he is the only Time Lord left. I don't care what people say,River Song is not a Time Lady, she's a genetically created abomination.

I doubt if River even marries the Doctor, even in the episode called "The Wedding of River Song". Several story titles have been deliberately misleading, like they didn't kill Hitler in "Let's Kill Hitler".

I'm ashamed to say that i've not listened to my friend in the audio play, i find myself zoning out of them too!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to gorgonbreath [2011-09-28 16:04:59 +0000 UTC]

I don't think they'd outright kill the Doctor either. Why would the BBC ever want to snuff out a cash cow like Doctor Who? But I agree River is no Timelady. I wouldn't say she's genetically created, like Jenny was, rather just a fluke mutation. I do agree she is an abomination though.

But then I think... I like the idea that humanity could evolve regeneration in the Whoverse. That's cool, even if it takes being a fetus in the TARDIS.

I hope she doesn't marry the Doctor, because he had a wife at some point right (because some one is Susan's Grandma), so unless she died the final death she's locked away with the other Timelords/ladies. Maybe they divorced, or maybe Timelords/ladies don't marry like humans do. *shrugs* Still... the idea of the Doctor getting any kind of cozy with any one always leaves me wondering about the family he had in the classic series and what happened to them.

As long as I am not the only one. I love radio plays, but I only listen to them in the car with my Father, because he's the only other person I know that listens to them. So that way I zone out less because he and I discuss them during the short commercials.

There is always Classic Doctor Who to fill up the wait time, because there's a ton of that that I haven't seen... but it doesn't have quite the same energetic feel as the new stuff does so I still end up impatient for the new stuff.

swfan444 In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-27 16:53:08 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've started watching a few episodes of the classic series but it's not nearly as fast-paced as the new stuff.
By the way, what's your favourite episode? I've always loved The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. Rose and the Ninth Doctor were brilliant, and any episodes that introduce such an awesome character like Captain Jack are going to be high on my list any day!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to swfan444 [2011-09-27 17:11:55 +0000 UTC]

Empty Child was creepy because of the gas masks. *shudders* Those things are nightmare fuel for me. My favourite episode was the episode that made me like Tennant as the Doctor. The one where he takes Martha back in time to see Shakespeare and ends up yelling "expeliarmus". LMAO! That episode was so full of win and geekiness. It had the Doctor, Shakespeare, AND Harry Potter references (I also realized then that Tennant was Barty Crouch, which just make the joke even funnier to me). No episode has made me smile and laugh as painfully as that episode did.

Captain Jack is awesome, but I think Torchwood has ruined him some. I haven't seen any of the new stuff because I hear they are making him no longer immortal, which sucks and leaves me wondering how he becomes the face of Bo then.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

swfan444 In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-27 17:58:06 +0000 UTC]

I was never a big fan of Martha, but the Harry Potter references in the Shakespeare Code were extremely funny! Even the Doctor cried at the end of Book 7! And that episode was before written before it even came out!
I quite agree with you on Torchwood. The new series was rubbish, and this coming from a huge fan of the first two series. But don't worry, Jack is immortal again now. But he's got a buddy in immortality through some crazy blood-transfusion stuff. It's just a shame that it was my least favourite character who is now immortal in the same way as Jack. I pretty much just ignore anything that comes after the end of Series Two. Children of Earth was awesome until people started dying, and then it just got depressing so I don't watch it very often at all. I loved Tosh and Ianto and Owen was growing on me, so you can imagine how annoyed I was when they were killed off for no real reason other than to guilt-trip Jack. Gwen, Jack, Rhys and PC Andy are the only characters that I like that have survived this far!

ParallelPenguins In reply to swfan444 [2011-09-27 18:03:20 +0000 UTC]

I was never a big fan of Martha either. She's cool, and I didn't dislike her. I just didn't love her either. LOL yeah! Even the Doctor cried at the end of book 7! I love that! But of course every one would cry, even if no one died in that book, because it's the last one.

Jack is immortal again!? WOOT!! Yeah I heard a lot about Children of Earth. I wanted to watch it, but a friend said it totally ruined Torchwood for her and I didn't really want to watch every one die. I don't like that Gwen survived but Ianto and Tosh didn't. I don't much like Gwen really. No good reason. She just irks me. But then, I didn't see all of the second series before Children of Earth, so maybe she got better.

Well, I didn't cry, but then I never cry at endings in books. I'm odd that way
I always quite liked Gwen, but a lot of people seem to find her annoying. It's worth watching Series Two, there's some great episodes in it. I wish they'd made more episodes with the original team before Children of Earth. I've always wished that TV here in Britain lasted for longer series-wise. Thirteen episodes is sometimes far too few!

ParallelPenguins In reply to swfan444 [2011-09-27 19:26:04 +0000 UTC]

If I loved the book I cry at the end, because it is over. I don't reread books because, no matter how many years later I try, I get two sentences in, or two paragraphs in, and I remember the whole book. I don't want to reread it if I remember everything that happens. So I cry because I can only really read it once. Don't ask me to quote any book I read though. It only happens if I try to reread it. >_< Go me.

I think I find her annoying because she kind of neglects her husband for Jack and it's obvious. The guy is a sweetie and she's willing to give that up for some one that will not ever give her what her husband does. Because Jack wouldn't. He's not the marrying type so he'd never stick around long enough to give her the kind of love her husband does. *sigh* I dunno maybe I expect too much in that department from characters.

Oh yeah 13 is way too few! I mean TV here in North America used to be 22-26 episodes, but now everything seems to be following TV where you are. 15 episodes or less. Ugh. That's not a whole season. It's just NOT. I grew up on 26 episodes and you're going to give me 13? They better be DAMN GOOD episodes!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

swfan444 In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-09-27 21:26:13 +0000 UTC]

If I really love a book, I'll reread it quite a few times. I still know what's going to happen, but reading the words again helps me to imagine the worlds they describe and I find that really enjoyable. I've got a few books that I could probably recite, I've read them so many times. And that's nothing compared to my attitude to movies! I'm a huge Star Wars fan, as you might be able to tell from the avatar and username! I've started re-watching the movies yet again with my little sister and I find myself speaking along with the characters, anticpating what they are going to say next. But I don't find that takes away from the enjoyment of watching, purely because of the escapism that films allow. I may know the story line inside out and backwards, but I still get caught up in it. Maybe I'm just odd like that!
I see what you mean with Gwen, she did rather pine after Jack and neglect Rhys. But I tend to not really bother with the inter-personal stuff in fiction. I'm more into the aliens and the action scenes, but also the concepts that sci-fi does so well like the nature of humanity and the wonders of the universe. People stuff tends to pass me by! Frankly I found quite a lot of the people-stuff in Torchwood a bit dull, but I put up with it for the sake of the storyline.
It's one of the things I like about American series like Star Trek. There's so much more of it in one season than in any British series. But one good thing about the fewer episodes is that the quality tends to be a bit more consistantly good. There aren't any "filler episodes," as such. I completely agree, if they're only going to make 13 episodes of something, they had better be a very good 13 episodes!

Oh I can watch movies multiple times. I miss stuff when I watch movies all the time, so when I rewatch them I catch all sorts of new stuff. With books though I only miss stuff if I am bored reading it, and then I don't get very far before I drop the book. Shouldn't be bored while reading. Can't be the book for me if I am. I guessed you liked Star Wars from your avi. I LOVE Yoda! So your avi makes me smile. There's one movie I could probably quote the entire script for. It's not Star Wars though (but I have seen those movies multiple times). It's Twister. Odd pick some people say, but I just love the movie so much.

I love the aliens and action scenes and sets and dragons and what not in fiction, but it's the characters that keep me coming back, as with any show. They don't all have to be overly developed, but they do have to be some one I want to know more of or at least some one I can stand.

I grew up watching Star Trek: The Next Generation. I love that there's so much of it. It makes watching reruns and dvds so much better, because chances are I missed an episode here or there. Yeah I don't like filler episodes though. I want a full season of good stuff, but if they can't give me that I'll take the shorter season. I won't like that it's that short, but it is better then filler episodes. When it's short AND there's filler... ugh I just... that makes me angry actually. Maybe my standards are too high.

Don't worry, my standards are the same! Admittedly, I do enjoy the sophisticated character development in series like Star Trek, DS9 in particular. I've just started watching The Next Generation, but I've seen all of DS9 and it's probably my favourite Star Trek series. I love how long running series like Star Trek can develop a character over seven years.
I've never seen Twister. What's it like?
Cool, Yoda is! A smiley of him, I can make! I'll stop now! Yoda is great. I really love him in the Prequels, especially when he pulls out his lightsaber and practically wipes the floor with Dooku. My favourite Star Wars character has always been Obi-Wan Kenobi, but Yoda is definitely in second place.
I'm starting to collect DS9 on DVD, and I'm recording The Next Generation on TV at the moment. I love reruns! There are some really amazing episodes in both series. I also quite like Enterprise, it's got some great stuff. The Original Series is always good for a laugh, but I've never been too fond of Voyager. I don't like Janeway, but Voyager does have some good characters even if her captain is rather annoying! What about you? Have you seen much of the other series?

OH I LOVE DS9!!! LOL! I love the whole is he or isn't he still a spy, and for what side thing with Garak, and any time Quark is on screen is a good time. And I love all the mirror universe episodes. TNG is great. The holodeck episodes with Data as Sherlock Holmes are my favourites I think.

Oh I love watching Yoda whoop ass. I love everything Yoda does. It's awesome AND cute. Obi-wan is cool, but my favourite has to be Yoda, ever since I was a kid. Second place for me is R2D2, because he's just as bad ass and cute as Yoda. Obi-wan is third I think, though that's not his fault. He's awesome, and bad ass. He just lacks the cute factor that Yoda and R2 have.

You might enjoy this site for Star Trek episodes, if it lets you watch: [link] . I know some things are region locked. That drives me nuts. I live in part of the Commonwealth and I can get BBC on TV if I want it on cable, why can't I see the videos they put on their website? And why the hell did it take until THIS season of Doctor Who for us to get it at the same time as the States and Australia, when the CBC helps the show so much it gets a credit at the end? That means my tax dollars go to helping make Doctor Who in some small part. I should sure as heck get to see it at the same time as at least the other countries that get to see it after Britain.

Voyager and TOS are okay, but yeah they aren't my favourite series either. Janeway is fine, but 7 of 9 annoyed me, though so did Kes. I liked Paris and Kim though. I have seen nearly every episode of each Star Trek series, and most of the movies. I keep missing parts of the one where they go back in time to get some humpback whales though and I haven't seen every movie with the TOS cast in it yet. I watched all of Enterprise religiously for the first two seasons, but the war with the Xindi kind of turned me off of the series. I have yet to finish it fully.

>_< Eegads I am such a geek.

Ah but I love it!

Being a geek/nerd/whatever is awesome! Thanks so much for that link! It works, at least as far as I can tell, so now I can catch up on all those Enterprise episodes that I missed. It's really annoying when websites are region locked. I can't watch any of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes on the Star Wars website because I live "outside continental USA" Hmmph. I have to go searching all over the internet if I want to see the Clone Wars at all, because we hardly ever get it on TV over here.
I always quite liked Seven, but Kes was irritating. The Voyage Home (the one with the whales) is probably my favourite of the Original Series movies. It's so funny! Chekov wandering around post-Cold War San Francisco asking where the "Nuclear wessels" were, Scotty thinking a mouse was a voice interface microphone and then "Ah, a keyboard. How quaint." I love that film!
There's some really good episodes in Season Four of Enterprise. Even if the Xindi story arc wasn't your thing, it's over by season four and they have some really awesome short story arcs with Augments and Vulcan and all sorts.
Have you ever discovered the Nerdfighter community on Youtube or any where else on the internet? It's basically an online community for nerds, geeks and other awesome people. I discovered it a while ago and it's really cool! [link] <-- Those two guys are the people who started it all, they're worth checking out! They invented this awesome greeting- DFTBA. It stands for "Don't Forget To Be Awesome"
DFTBA!

Oh man. I hate that "outside the US". Lots of sites say that to me, and then lots of sites put me as in the US when there's a "choose your country" option, and there's no option for Canada. That drives me nuts. Pick one. Do they consider us the 51st state or not? Geez, being that would suck, but if they were consistent at least there's be that.

Star Wars clone wars: [link] (You have to join the TVFL forum, but they have a crap ton of stuff there and joining is free.) This has some of it [link] though to get the vids to work on the site you have to use their grease monkey script (but that script works off the site too with any megaupload link so it's nice for avoiding megavideo's 72 minute limit.) [link] this place has a good schwack of links too. (I don't have TV so I watch all my shows online. Those are my go-to links for finding any show.)

I loved watching Scotty at the computer, but I was confused as to why he even knew how to use it. You'd think the technology would be so out of date that they wouldn't have taught it even at elementary school, let alone star fleet academy, so he shouldn't have known the computer languages that made that computer work for him so well. He would have known the keyboard lay out sure. I can't see that changing much, but the software would be so out of date... I mean I bet they don't even teach that stuff NOW.... I'm thinking too much about this again. >_< *facepalm*

Augments? Oh cool. I always wanted to know more about that part of Star Trek history time line. Nerdfighter? I've never heard of it. Don't forget to be awesome? Cool. I like that. I might just use it. (Okay I clicked the link and watched a video. LOL! He convinced me AND I was entertained and made to laugh. I wish I could speak that well. Damn.)

I know what you mean! It can be a bit annoying for me always having to list my country as United Kingdom. Scotland may be part of Britain, but it's a country too! I can't believe they lump Canada with the US. I mean, Canada is the larger country!
Thanks for the links! I usually use one called blinkxremote for watching TV series, it's really quite good. There's always links to a few different places which lets you skirt around Megavideo's time limit.

Scotty at the computer was really funny! Maybe he took a special course at the Academy and learned about old-fashioned computers there, but it does seem a little strange that he can use one so well.

The Vlogbrothers are awesome. My friend and I now solely use DFTBA as a greeting/goodbye. There's a lot of really funny videos by them out there, they're worth checking out if you like songs about Harry Potter or finding out random trivia like how many hands are chopped off during the entire Star Wars saga, or advice on writing, or... etc. I wish I could speak that well too!
DFTBA!

Well Canada is bigger then the US in landmass and coast line, but we have only 1/10 the population of the States so... I can sort of see why, I just don't like it. Blinkxremote? I gotta check that out. Always good to have a new resource in case one or more of the others go down.

DFTBA! ^_^

Yeah, I see what you mean. I suppose it's the same with Scotland. Afterall, there are more people in just London than the entirety of Scotland. At least I don't have to list my country as England. Now that would be annoying!
This is another good site too. [link] I haven't been using blinkxremote as much anymore. I can't remember why, but that other one is really good.

DFTBA!

Cool. Thank you so much for the link!

Yeah I guess it would be annoying. Scotland and England are two different countries, and considering the history... yeah. >_> Though it would be more annoying to me if maps just had all of North America listed just as North America the way lots of maps I've seen have England and Scotland and the rest of the UK listed just as the UK. That would drive me nuts. I mean, sure list it as the UK, but also show the different countries. It wasn't until I was in junior high that I finally saw a map that listed them as different countries and I got to learn that the UK a bunch of countries that are still countries, not one huge country that used to be a few others that joined up. (Makes my school curriculum sound really shoddy, but it was mostly centred on Canadian history and geography in elementary school and there's only so much you can cram into a 6th grader's brain given how short my attention span was at the time.)

You're welcome!
Speaking of history between Scotland and England, I'm actually doing the Scottish Wars of Independence in History at the moment. You're not alone in only really learning about your own country's history. We always do at least one unit about Scotland and/or Britain during any history course. But we have done Russia and we're doing Germany at the same time as the Wars of Independence. Also, I remember doing a project on Canada in my last year of primary school.
I suppose the UK thing on maps is understandable. We are a "united kingdom" afterall. But that doesn't mean I have to like it that much!
