My Tumblr: [link]Can you honestly tell me you would say no? I don't think there is a force on Earth that could keep me from accepting a ride in the TARDIS with The Doctor.
I think I could have done better on this if it weren't for the line-pixilizing issue I have with Sai. Maybe some day I will redo it.

In all of school I only ever really did Canada and then the 13 colonies (the US east coast (except the maybe 2 or 3 states to the south on the east coast)). We only ever did any other country in so far as it effected Canada. But here at least I think that's more a reaction to the fact that the ONLY place we ever really get to learn about anything in Canadian history is in history class. They don't make a whole lot of movies about our history or anything we've done. There are no TV shows about it. We are more likely to get very loose and vague European history and a whole lot about American history on TV and in movies and even documentaries here in Canada. And granted, none of that is ever completely accurate, but it sticks in your head more then what you learn in school. So I guess it sort of evens out in the end.
I never got to learn about Scotland in school. I know it's a country of people with an awesome accent, ridiculously gorgeous country side, and it's where Lord Selkirk came from. (He sort of started my province, well a portion of it any way. We grew after that and a few others can be counted as having started us too.) And that Scotland and England don't always get along and there's supposed to be some back story to that. I don't even know where Ireland comes into all of this or why there is a Northern Ireland and how that relates to everything. And I am unsure where Wales comes into all of this. Googling it gets me bogged down in a whole bunch of information I can't make hide nor hair of and the whole thing seems very complicated.
I fell kind of dumb right now. >_> Yay world history.

Well, there's an awful lot of history between Scotland and England. I don't really know much of it myself! The stuff we often learn about in history is from all the way back in the 12-1300s. If you've ever seen the film Braveheart, it's that period of history, but the film is a really awful, inaccurate version of events. Basically the English king got it into his head that he should be king of the whole British Isles. He conquered Wales and Ireland and tried to do the same to Scotland. We fought back and in the early 1300s we managed to get independence again. I think with Ireland, the reason why it's split in two is because the whole country used to be under British control. They eventually decided they wanted independence but Northern Ireland wanted to remain part of Britain. At least that's what I think happened. I don't know that much about Irish history either.
By the way, if you're interested in world history, there's this project the vlogbrothers on Youtube are starting up some time soon. It's a new channel called CrashCourse through which the two of them will be teaching crash courses in Biology and World History! I've already subscribed to the channel, because I could really do with brushing up on the history of countries other than Scotland. That's probably the place to go if you want to learn from someone who's very good at being informative and entertaining at the same time.

I saw Braveheart. I wasn't sure if that was even vaguely based on any real events. But what you're saying is England was kind of a douche back in the day... *shakes head*
CrashCourse on youtube. Gonna check that out. I'm also interested in how England/France relations through out history has influenced and precipitated Canadian Anglo/Franco relations. (Because it can be a tangle some times, though lately it's been calm and fairly nice, as far as those things go, and I'd like more background.)
Though I gotta say, I'm not a huge fan of it, but Hetalia has made me look at world history differently. I was always interested, but now it's hard to look into it with out finding a Hetalia reference, whether I mean to or like it or not.

I've only ever encountered Hetalia through fanart here on DeviantArt. I must say, I'm still not quite sure what it is. But I'm the same with Star Wars. I can draw a parallel between Star Wars and just about anything! The Scottish rebellion in History reminds me of the Rebels in Star Wars, the characters in a book we read in English were in a similar situation to Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme and Palpatine and so on...

Hetalia was a Japanese webcomic by a gentleman who felt that people didn't know enough about history and wanted to encourage them to look into it more. It took off and became an anime and even has a movie. The countries are all personified into characters, and there are other versions of them like mochi balls and cats. It's not entirely historically accurate since it's meant as a comedy, but it sure has encouraged a lot of people to look into history who wouldn't have otherwise cared. It's just that it's just about everywhere I look and the people I know that like it are damn near obsessed.
LOL I see parallels to Harry Potter, LOTR, even BSG and Doctor Who. Some times Star Wars. OOOO! Guess what I got the other day! I got a new ringtone on my Blackberry so now when I get messages it beeps at me like R2D2! I LOVE IT!
I also got the original series Star Trek communicator chirp, and the TARDIS vworp-vworp sound too. I love it sooooo much, but *facepalm* I am such a nerd.

Cool. I remember one of my sister's friends talking about something like that a few years ago, with personifications of the various countries and such. It was probably Hetalia, considering that she was into anime.
Awesome! I don't even know how to get new ringtones for my phone. For someone who's into sci-fi, I'm pretty rubbish with real-life technology! The closest I have to that is that my computer is called R2-D2
No need for Celebrate your nerdiness for nerds are made of awesome! (Great, now I'm starting to talk like my best friend!)

It's always great to celebrate nerdiness.
As for ringtones for your phone, maybe your service provider's website could help you... *shrugs*
I LOVE that you named your computer R2-D2!!! HAHAHA!!!! Holy crap that is awesome!!!! I named mine Gibbs, but then he is cantankerous and kind of broken, though still very reliable and lovable, therefore he reminds of the NCIS character. ^_^

Probably. Then again, no one ever calls or texts me...
Thanks! I've always thought so... Cool. I've never actually seen NCIS, but I'm aware of it. It's often on before or after Star Trek on CBS. What's it like?

It's a great series. I mean it's another procedural show, but the characters are awesome and the cast is great. I got attached to the characters pretty easily.

It's always nice when the characters are well written enough that you get attached to them quickly. I found that with Stargate SG-1, and it really enhances your enjoyment of the series. I may have to check it out.

I don't run either, being asthmatic, but I know that if I am scare for my life I can run faster and father then I ever did before. So if he told me to run I'd do it, but mostly because I was scared of what he's running from.

Oh honey do i have a treat for you! *Wiggle of joy*
Ok the New Doctor Who season came out in 2005. BUUUUUUT in 2003 they came out with the web cast( web cartoon) Before they even started the New series. So its a bit confusing. Cuz this Doctor is to be the 9th Doctor. But he is not , Eccleston toke his place 2 years later. It helps thinking that this is an other dimension Doctor.
So This Doctor has THIS Master liveing on his Tardis! here..just watch it![link]
