I took a picture of this, as it's too big for my scanner, and I still had to piece it together. My monitor does it no justice. *sigh*

This is a piece I started late last week. I found an old, incomplete sketch of Henri and Amelia sitting around, and decided to do something with it. I traced it onto vellum first, then transferred bits and pieces that I liked onto bristol paper... From there it sort of took on a life of its own. I was experimenting with mixed media here, as well as a new style, so there are definitely some flaws. (Like, Henri's head is rather big. I'll work on that XD ). Still, I'm very proud of it. I was originally going to stick with an accented neutral scheme, black and white with red, but ended up shoving some blue and yellow in...

I have to say my favorite thing is probably all their hands. And Jan's expression.

I don't like spelling out the meanings behind things. Feel free to share what you get from it~ And criticism is also always appreciated. :3

Time: roughly 8 hours [spread over a week]
Media: Copic marker, watercolor crayon, pastel pencil, red pen, black Higgins ink, white-out, newspaper clippings, a bit of decorative candy wrapper, pigment pens.
