Very cool indeed. Have you seen the documentary, "Before the Dinosaurs"? I personally think it's one of the best ones BBC has done so far.

I look at the shells, then study extant cephalopods and combine them. The Boston Aquarium has some great specimens if you enjoy drawing such creatures.
