Looks very different from modern day Nautilus. What species is this? Looks like it should be fairly large, Pachydiscus?

I'm no marine biologist, but I've always had a fascination for Cephelopods, especially large ones. Until now I never knew that Natuiloids had clubbed tentacles like that.

Where are you, and what are you doing? I hadn't checked your site in a while. Great new paintings.

I'm working for AMEC's Earth and Environment department as a field tech. I did a phase II in Fort Stewart, NY, a phase I in Fort Pickett, VA, another phase II in Wheelersburg, OH, and just finished another phase I for the Grand River Dam Authority in Proyr, OK. I'm loving archeology! I'm kind living out of my car and crashing at friends' houses, but I'll be getting a place with a friend soon in Louisville, KY which is a great city, plus it's where my companies main archeology department is anyway. How about yourself?

Still waiting to hear a decision on the latest revision of our paper that we sent back in a few weeks ago. We probably won't hear anything until at least well after Christmas. Started painting again as is obvious. Already looking forward to this summer's dig season. Good to hear you are loving archeology. Consider coming out to the Byron dig this summer, mastodons and paleo-indians make good company around a campfire. And we go way beyond phase II.

Holy crap, that's amazing! There's so much detail! I especially love the color on the shell, but man. *is incoherent*
