Description
ImageI have always beleived that cornwall, the county I live in never has a decent autumn. Colours usually just go from green to brown this year isn't much different until I went to a well protected small wood on the south edge of Bodmin Moor. I was blown away by the richness of the golden leaves and contrast of the dark trees.
It was still raining at this point but I was determined to get a good wideangle shot, I found a rock with a nice collection of leaves on top of it, then I worked on the shot from there, including the river that winds through the wood. again I used my polariser to diminish any reflections from the wet leaves. I used 3 images and stitched them together in PTgui and photoshop.

Just curious. At what points were the images stitched?

Ah! I thought from your username you were surely from Upper Michigan. They really like pasties there.
Gorgeous woodland scenery.

I include most of the camera information in the comments underneath my image. This shot was a 15 second exposure

Lovely colours, composition and the blurred water looks great. I want to find somewhere like this before all the leaves have gone. This has inspired me!

I see so many beautiful shots such as this, and the comments usually tell of some sort of stitching. I have photoshop...however, I don't know exactly how to stitch shots together...much less how you determine how many shots to take and how. Have you got any helpful links or tips? (anything would be greatly appreciated)
Lovely picture

On photoshop there is a tool called photo-merge which is worth a look, but I dont use it much. I use a stitching program called PTGui, it does wonders, check that out too
One of the only reasons why I stitch shots are to boost resolution (so I can print bigger) or because my lens isnt wide enough. Its best to look at a scene in different formats and what works best before pointing your camera at it, just play around its the best way to learn

Okay thanks so much! There are just so many things on photoshop...I don't know where to start looking!
I will go check that program out...sounds promising.
I really appreciate your help Thank you!
