Description
ImageNearing Sunrise the snow began to illuminate, I watched as this cloud on the horizon built up and produce a small flick on the highest part. As you can see I wasn't the first one up there, there was one shot I was really hoping to get but someone had already trampled all over it...
A stitch of two horizontal images from one exposure

It wasn't too bad, mainly because it wasn't too windy. Thanks

Nothing more irritating than other people getting there first!

Nice shot Guy. The rocks on the right hand side look really unusual with the light dusting of snow they have, quite sureal almost. It's a shame someone beat you to it with regard to the footprints, but i don't think it matters too much.
Was this taken with the sick camera? If so it evidentally still works perfectly

Yup just before I dropped it for a second time. This is what attracted me to the scene to begin with, the sun was just about to break through but I had a very large cloud sitting over the hill which was lit up by the sun and therefore lit up the snow in the image.

Putting a positive spin on it, the footprints add another feature to the composition. Yeah, bummer you didn't get there first but you still knew how to make the best of it.
As for the photo itself: beautiful... just beautiful!

I think it would look odd without that extra feature. Thanks Matt

mmm, but I could't blame them, even if I wasn't a photographer I would still go up there on a day like that
