Description
Final result of an attempt to catch the essence of a cat.Made in yellow bronze on stone base.
The title: M'as-tu-vu is an expression used for people who like to show-off. Literally it means ‘did you see me?’

Thank you. You're right, I've included also negative aspects of a cat. At least, I've tried to. It's the reason why some people are not fond of this sculpture, I suppose.

It's a bit smaller than a lifesize cat. The bronze part is almost a foot, 28 cm high.

Thanks for the compliment.
Sculpting takes so much time. Every step is labour intensive. Even more so with shiny metal. Sanding, polishing, correcting a dent, sanding again, polishing again ... Even photographing the result needs a lot of care.
But in the end it's all worth it. The way it catches light, the sculpture seems alive. It exists, in a very tangible way. You're right, Deviant Art is not ideal to enjoy sculptures. Sculpture have a dire need to be seen in real life. But hey, I'm pleased I can show them to so many people, like yourself.
