Description
Failed experiment.I tried to show a slim and a fatter woman in one sculpture, but it turned out to look repulsive, a halfbaked anatomy exercise and a bit like a bionic woman.
Based on a live model.
I'm looking for motivation to finish it: plaster casting and probably painting in black (fat) white (thin) and red (sheet, hair).
Urgh ...
---
Regular unbaked clay on an iron skeleton.
About 45 cm high.

A very difficult task and, as it is in one color, hard to show the borders, so alas in my opinion I think it's no wonder that it can look a bit odd in this stage. I highly recommend, as the rookie that I am, to paint it like you want to paint it.
But I think, after that, it will look very very good, because now it is a bit half finished but I can see where you want to go with it.

i actually like it a lot just the way it is. you could just paint it this color too if you wanted. or use some high-fire glaze, the texture would look awesome with high-fire, i think!

Very interesting approach.
I've tried to do the same thing but differently: I've mixing anorexic parts with obese parts from top to down. The result was unsatisfying,
I have deducted that it would be necessary to realize the whole skeleton then after add muscles and fat depending on the effect we want.
But your result is much more better than mine. Congratulations

Thanks for the compliment.
I've proceeded with this sculpture, in fact I've made a cast of this (slightly modified) piece in an artificial plaster today, but my heart is not in it any more. The result is broken at the ankles and now I have to repair it.
The subject of a multiple-personality-sculpture is very dear to me though.
So I've took another path already, I'm now in the process of making a sculpture in bright polyester and another in a complete pure translucent polyester around it (like a glass "bodycoat"). I hope to finish it by june and will submit it in my gallery. If you're interested, I'll sent you a note. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed, all these techniques are new to me.)
