Description: One of the third largest land mammals, after the Ceratothere(aka White Rhinoceros)(Ceratotherium simum) as 2nd in place, and after the 2 elephants(one whose an Elephant(Elephas maximus), the other whose the Loxodont(Loxodonta Africana).), is the hippopotamus. The name "Hippopotamus," means "River Horse," because its muzzle is a lot like a horse, but its muzzle got sharp tusks, used for fighting other hippos for the dominance of the pod, and/or for their mates, or used for the famous yawning that's used as a threat towards their intruders. Hippos have very thick skin, short legs, hairy-ears, and a long-wide muzzle, and such great weights of 3 1/2 tons, makes this hippo complete aquatic, they might use the reef fish as their cleaners. To open their mouths with no harm, the fish can get rid of the parasites out of the hippo's mouths, to make the hippo nice and clean. As the hippo submerged underwater, they can close their nostrils. At night and dusk, hippos are crepuscular grazers, so they can graze grass as they got out of the water. Hipppos who attack the other animals, are often territorial males, or females who protect their calves. The predators of the hippos all ages, are crocodiles. Other predators who preyed upon hippo calves, are lions and spotted hyenas. An angry hippo was a lot more faster than a running human, but NOT as fast as the cheetah. The hippos can mark their territory with their poop. As they spin their tails, in order to excruciate and flatulence the area. The ones who can prey upon the hippos, within cannibalism, are sick or distressed hippos, while others who are the bulls that can try to infanticide the calves, that has the river being overpopulated. Speaking of overpopulation, some hippos preferred to live alone with no pods, others lived in massive herds called "pods." A pod was consisted of females, bachelor males, their calves, all lead by a solitary bull.
