Description
this design was spawned to replace the still-new attack halftrack, as it showed lots of disadvantages in the daltic battlefield terrains.
the requirements asked for a light tank, of around 10-20ton, with a crew of 3-4, and carry a pair of KT-43 Automatic AT Cannons, originally designed for airborne use.
the tank designed to fulfill the need was a joint work between Foxter and DeG, and the best of both was put in the design, as the external aspects by Foxter, and internal features by DeG.
it's fire baptism happened even before official tests, when an armored infantry squad attacked the test site, where four prototypes were waiting to be tested in a week. 6 T-55 were destroyed, and just one prototype was lost.
