Description
As has been requested, I'll say it right here; I did not draw this. I will not claim that I did, nor did I make any of the resources visible in the finished piece. I did however make the brushes I used to apply certain effects.Just a little something I made to use as a login BG. Enjoy!
I know it's nothing impressive, but I couldn't think of anything else to add.
Render: Stocking (From PS+G) - Cut by +Solitary
Original Picture (From which Stocking was rendered): Fly Away by Murakami/ζδΈ
Original Background Stock: Daniel K.
If any proof of either the render or stock are needed then I can cite what I know. I did not render Stocking myself, it was already done.
Edit: Amazing, I never thought this many people would see, let alone like this wallpaper! A huge thank you to everyone who clicked to look,
I'm currently in the process of obtaining written permission from the original artist (The one who drew the picture of Stocking before it was rendered) so those who wish for that permission will have it. Please wait patiently as I will.

The original art is by Murakami Yuzu on Pixiv. The piece is called 'Fly Away'

This has already been stated earlier in the comments section. I didn't render it myself, I simply used a pre-made free use render, which I assumed was made with permission as it was from a respected community of Signature Enthusiasts.

whether it's art or not is not the question. This is against the site rules. You need written permission to use art that you did not create yourself. Citing is not enough to bypass the permission

For gods sake. Nobody reads the description do they.
I did not use the picture made by the original artist, nor had I ever intended to use a picture that I did not have permission to use. I've stated that I will not be called a thief, what you say is no exception.

I did not say "thief" once- must be your guilty conscious XD
It does not matter if you used the picture from the original creator or not. If someone else stole something and altered it- then you accepted it- you would still be in trouble (accepting stolen goods). It is still the property of the original artist and you STILL need permission. So whether you like it or not you are indeed breaking the site rules

blocking copycat is such a mature thing to do. It just shows that you are unable to argue effectively and have no real excuse for what you are doing
from copy:
You can say safely that you used someone's art without permission and posted it on a site that doesn't allow that. So when you were called out you decided to try asking the original artist for permission even thought you should have asked before hand.
Ask permission BEFORE posting art. Otherwise it's like stealing something from a store then going back later and asking permission- it's still stealing. Not to mention disrespectful to the artist. You should actually take down the image and resubmit it when/if you obtain permission.
But if the artist says "no" I certainly hope you are smart enough not to put it up.

Y'know what? The reason I blocked Copycat was because I'm sick and tired of hearing people complain. I had the permission to use the resources I did, and the permission error lies with the person who originally rendered Stocking. Get over yourself.

The question is not whether it's art or not. You can call anything art. The problem is that you DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to take someone else's art, use it like it's stock and then redistribute the picture as your own work. The people who make these "renders" don't even know where the original pic comes from in 99% of the cases, so you can be sure they didn't ask for permission from the original artist.

It's people like you that I hate to meet on dA.
The pictures I used were free-use RESOURCES. I know not whether the render of Stocking was made with permission or not, but I had the permission to use the render itself. If the problem resides there, GO SORT IT.

And it's people like you that I hate to meet on . The person who made the "render" is guilty but you're just as guilty yourself for using it without even trying to find out where it is originally from.
Copied from ~beatroll :
"FAQ #157: Can I use things created by other people in my submissions? If you have permission from the original artists to. Stock websites are not always what they seem. Likewise, people who offer renders or claim something is a render, and thus free-for-use, almost never have the consent of the original artist to create the render in the first place. Someone's fan art is not a render. Official CG models are not renders either.
Respect artists and get their permission to use what they so generously shared with you to view. You are not entitled to do whatever you see fit with an image you find unless the artist says so."

Well then, like I've said before. Prove that the render was made without permission, and while you're at it, why don't you go chase down all the others who use renders without permission, make them without permission, or steal them with the intent to steal them.

Sigh, what close minded people, basically EVERYTHING is art. Even though the Stocking art was not by you, i still like it a lot, it's the creativity you added makes it good art. I love the textures and background you added.

Sheesh, read through the comments and I must say I was highly amused. Some people need to learn that art comes in many forms. Who's to say just because something isn't drawn that it's not art? Ah well, haters gonna hate.
I absolutely love how you put this together though. I'm super jealous at how you edited the original images with your brushes (managed to catch a glimpse of both); personally that in itself I would consider art. The overall effect looks stunning and meshes with the background surprisingly well. A job well done. I'd say. n_n
