So it's been a while since I've done a real piece, with a full background and other characters and things. So I really wanted to make this one full on
This is some fanart for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Rising which is going to be awesome! And I really wanted to show off the games' new feature.. Where you get
to slice up absolutely anything with your kick-ass sword
You'll notice the there's a guy crushed by the fallen structure behind (as seen on the trailer, Raiden slices the pillars), plus there's the guy watching himself fall in
two pieces.. And a little something in the foreground to top it off..

Also a quick question for you MGS fans..
Do you think Raiden will ever be as good as Snake?
I mean come on.. he was pretty badass in MGS4

i'm a long time fan of the metal gear series and also a huge fan of snake but i think the new metal gear rising game it's not all that bad,
don't hate the game because the metal gear team is trying to explore a whole new concept for the game....
but still i like snake more than raiden

Too bad the older fans of the series are gonna hate this game for a shit ton of retcons and hack-and-slash action. Hopefully, the stealth elements would make up for this.

I was so skeptical about Metal Gear Rising due to the fact that it's not a stealth based game. It's a game like Devil May Cry but after playing MGS4 for the first time recently, I can't wait for it.

Oh yeah Raiden will never be as good as Snake, sure he may be more agile and stronger than Snake but I dont like Raiden's attitude, he's like some emo kid who always complains about his past.

I think that Raiden and Snake are both badasses in their own way.
Raiden: A badass who can... kill the unkillable(vamp), stop a ship with his back. cut off his arm and still go kick some ass. etc
Snake: A badass who can... crawl his way through a giant microwave and still kick ass, singlehandedly take out Raging Raven, Screaming Mantis, Crying Wolf, and Laughing Octopus. and beat the living shit out of his "brother". etc

And answering your question, it's really hard to say.. but as you said, he was pretty badass in Metal gear 4.. but raiden has a diferent style.. Lightning Bolt Action ;D.. and i don't know hahah the only thing i know, is that i'm REALLY ancious for this game !!

I liked Raiden in MGS2 mostly because he was a lot more like me than Snake. I am not a badass by any means, and the idea of a noob trying to come into his own and live up to a legend like Snake was actually a great idea in my opinion. I cannot wait for this game. Amazing work Mr. Brown!
