So it's been a while since I've done a real piece, with a full background and other characters and things. So I really wanted to make this one full on
This is some fanart for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Rising which is going to be awesome! And I really wanted to show off the games' new feature.. Where you get
to slice up absolutely anything with your kick-ass sword
You'll notice the there's a guy crushed by the fallen structure behind (as seen on the trailer, Raiden slices the pillars), plus there's the guy watching himself fall in
two pieces.. And a little something in the foreground to top it off..
Anyway let me know what you think
Also a quick question for you MGS fans..
Do you think Raiden will ever be as good as Snake?
I mean come on.. he was pretty badass in MGS4

At least there are a bunch of cool games coming out between now and when ever. Fable 3, Force Unleashed 2, Vanquished, Fallout: New Vegas, Dead Space 2, Gear of War 3.

I'll have to say that this is one impressive piece! Especially the pose. I like a lot!
As for the question about Snake vs. Raiden, I have one answer, and one only:
Raiden will never be as badass or as Sneaky as SNAKE.
I mean, yes he's become pretty badass, but I think MGS has turned out to be more of a hack n' slash game than a stealth game and I think there're plenty of those out there.. MGS should be about hiding, tranquilizing and moving around in a box!
But of course I haven't tried this one yet.. I'll give it a shot
Aside from that, I really like the picture. Actionpacked, bloody and you make him look damned cool!

Great work! I like his "I'ma gut youuu" pose. He'll probably have one of those mental breakdowns at least once in the game. I like the angles you use in your pictures.
There's not enough break dancing in this picture though.
I don't know if Raiden'll ever be as cool as snake. I mean, I actually do really like him. In all the forms he's shown up in. But he did a lot of crying and sobbing and whining in 4. I mean, I thought people were cracked in the head thinking he was more badass there than he was in 2. I mean, he's stronger, and he can take a knife and bullet a whole lot better, but he's still the whiny, ignorant, sexy agent I've always known and loved.

Great pic! Very detailed and the odd angle makes the scene look even more frantic. As for Raiden vs. Snake... Raiden is a nifty character and he is much better off than he was in MGS2, but he'll never be as robust as Snake.
