I loved making this one! I've never really created 'dust' in any of my pics so it was pretty interesting to give it a crack!This is for the upcoming PS3 game Red Dead Redemption by Rockstar Games.. DAMN I CAN'T WAIT
It's going to have all the same physics that GTA IV used and I think it'll be awesome having the big ol' Western landscape to roam around in!This pic was mainly just to get me hyped for the game! It took me a little longer than my usual pics, about 16 hours I think.. All done in Photoshop CS3 apart from the sketch..

I am so pumped for this game it's crazy. Ever since I played GTA II, I always wondered why don't they make an open world Western Game.
Gun came and it was okay, but not AMAZING like a GTA game. And just to know that Rockstar is making this game is a dream come true for me.
I'll be getting this game the first it's released....
Very nice picture, but until I play the game, I cannot honestly and fairly judge if you captured the mood or not. But technical wise, this is amazing as always.

Absolutely brilliant! I love the guy on the saloon roof with the gun precariously dangling from his finger. This made me dig out Red Dead and play it again. You should draw Colton from GUN, or perhaps a showdown between the two

Wow, i really think you've outdone yourself this time. I love GTA and many other game fanarts that youve done but this just looks amazing; the pose and all those spindly little details really make it. and i think u pulled off the dust quite well...Maybe a little redder tinge tho (looks kinda misty as is) and that is by no means a criticism but more a personal preference.Anyways keep up the amazing work man, your a continuing source of inspiration.

Never played the first one... may have to pick it up (still have an old Xbox somewhere if it won't run on my 360) but I'm really looking forward to the new one.
After (very very very!) mildly enjoying GUN - only because I tried so hard - I was kinda put off westerns but this looks like the game GUN SHOULD have been.
I like the sunrise/sunset in the background and even the horse looks badass!

Fantastic man! Reminds me of the first Red Dead! ahh the good 'ol days. I like how you made the character the main focal point (as is most main characters...) and how my line of site goes from him to the end of one of his guns to the bodies in the background, through the scenery to the smoke and back to the main character and to the other side. It's really a nice piece (peace?)!

Looks like the horse did some ass-kicking too, that might explain how those 2 guys ended up on the roof
The only thing that's missing is that the showdown looks a little bit too tidy apart from bullet shells, although there's blood there's no wood splinters from the Sheriff handrail and there's no glass shards from the 2 broken windows at the Saloon unless it all conveniently landed from the inside & there's no hoof prints from the horse. I'm being pretty nit-picky though

Awesome work, I have to say (If I haven't before) your work rocks, I'm a big fan. Would you be willing to post some of your sketches? I would really love to see some of them, I always enjoy watching how an artist works, how they take a simple doodle and turn it into a masterpiece. Again, AWESOME WORK!

I definitely want to play this game now! I always love to see your stuff! I like how the bodies are littered all over the place. The guy on the right with the six-shooter barely hanging on his finger was a nice touch! I also like the use of the setting sun and the gun-smoke from the shootout! Classic and at the same time an improvement in representation! Even the horse looks bad-ass! I can't find anything that I don't like about this piece. The textures on his clothes, the backgrounds, the composition itself is great. My only nit-pick, and it really is a nit-pick, in all of this would be that shell casings for the shotgun did not look like that in the mid to late 19th century. But like I said, it's nit-picking. But all around good job!
