I loved making this one! I've never really created 'dust' in any of my pics so it was pretty interesting to give it a crack!This is for the upcoming PS3 game Red Dead Redemption by Rockstar Games.. DAMN I CAN'T WAIT
It's going to have all the same physics that GTA IV used and I think it'll be awesome having the big ol' Western landscape to roam around in!This pic was mainly just to get me hyped for the game! It took me a little longer than my usual pics, about 16 hours I think.. All done in Photoshop CS3 apart from the sketch..

Awesome pic! Love d perspective and Pose of the character ... jst that the enemy should have looked a lil more tuff or like a beaten down skinny guy who lives out in the west(more cowboy-ish) well like in more western .. cuz he looks a lil more like a character from another time

but one thing that would look even better is the dust being an earthy-dirty yellow color. the benefits with this is you can see the smoke rising from the gun barrels more clearly, and it also adds a more realistic tone to it.

Most excellent. I love the texture ya used on his pants, only one thing that kinda bugs me...

I love it, and i like that he does not look like a "good" guy, because i remember that the character would have some kind of criminal background...
But its hoing to be fun to see how perfect you hit the look and feel of the game !! ,you certain did hit the western theme nicely ! - even through i dont see the rolling dust-devil-thingy things from the movies !!

This looks great! I'm seriously just loving every bit of it! I'd play the game if I had a PS3, haha. I seriously love the style you drew him in, and his clothes are probably my favorite, not to mention the random blood spatters. Also--I may be sorta weird--but I love the smoke coming from the barrels and all the shells on the ground. I love little details like that. (Good job on the horse, too. I can't draw them.)

very very dynamic. the posing..the placement of character's is very well done. I love the lighting in this one..the color scheme is very appealing as well. The horse is a tad skinny but it makes up for it with that look. lol he want's to kick someone lol I love how the background is so detailed yet it isn't cluttered. Not too many artist's can make a decent background so either it's blank or it's too busy. You my friend have pulled this one off quite nicely. (my backgrounds suck ^_~) And the dust came out very very good for a first try ^_^ I wonder if it is as hard to do as fog? I had the unique experience to try fog on one of my pieces and that was just fun.
