Yeah, you have to mess around to make things happen. On average I find it takes about a week of messing around until something good emerges. While I'm working on my regular oil paintings I'll stop every now and then to do a few tweaks in C4D, start the machine off on another render, come back in half an hour, do a few more tweaks, do a render and so it goes on. I love jugglingΒ Β my time like that, it's hard to go to bed some nights and I'll still be at it till 2am.Β

It's always exciting when after weeks or months of experimenting, tweaking and adjusting it finally starts to "click".
When that happens it's like the best possible high.Β I just want to keep at it till it's finalized!
Your paintings must be amazing!Β Have you considered posting them?

I agree, it's a real high. Just playing around in C4D gives me a constant buzz that I really miss when I'm not creating something, it's a bit of an addiction for me. I posted a photo in my scrapbook of a painting I'm still working on. I moved house back in August so I haven't had a chance to finish it but I've got a week over Christmas to get this one done and start the new one. It's oils on linen measuring 30" x 40" and you can see it here paulcorfield.deviantart.com/arβ¦

Thanks nic. Still tweaking this one and it's changed a bit since this image. Will probably be tweaking it all week knowing me.

I like the contrast between clay/sharp parts to smooth/coloured

Nicely realized, and executed Β 3 dimensional image. Β Lit well with shadow and a viewpoint that best confirms "sculpture" to the eyes. Β The involvement and sense of completion shows. Β As interesting and engaging as your other work posted on DA.

I agree, for some reason it seems to be the most popular thing I've ever posted.
