Description
As you may know, in April Fool's Day I told you guys that I met Charles Martinet. Some of you didn't believe it, but turns out - it was true! I've met the man behind the voices of Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi and their baby counterparts. He's such an amazing guy, he's all laughs and jokes, he's always doing those superclassic voice effects... I'm glad I could have such an incredible opportunity. It happened at the Gameworld 2010, here in São Paulo.I'm wearing my awesome Reino do Cogumelo T-shirt. A lot of friends from another Brazilian video game blogs found me and I've met a lot of cool guys. In the event, there was cosplayers and free play for everyone, and I could even get my hands on the DSi XL. Hope you like this picture as much as I do!

He was probably the nicest person around. He's all about smiles and greetings and he's always doing his characters' voices; he even autographs with onomatopoeia! Anyway, a really adorable person.

Indeed he does! Mr. Martinet loves when people show their dubbing skills. Yeah, and hey, don't forget he's also the voice of Toadsworth and even Wart from the Super Mario Advance series (I am the great Wart!)! Oh, and the babies I've met all of them at once!

You can! Just keep an eye on Nintendo or video game-themed events around your town! And yeah, I've been noticing everything in that picture... I don't really know why the guy took his Super Mario RPG cartridge to be signed by Martinet, since he wasn't involved in the game
I would understand if he had taken a Super Mario 64 cartridge!
Also, there's another interesting thing... both Martinet and I were giving thumbs-up to the photo, and Donkey Kong appears in the background doing a thumbs-up too!! It's just awesome

I can imagine it would be. I don't get that joy with the Zelda series, Link rarely speaks

Ah, I don't know, it's more appealing to older gamers, I guess. People like the RPG/adventure kind of game, and Zelda is the father (or would it be mother?) of that gaming genre. You know who's absolutely overrated? Master Chief. The guy doesn't have absolutely ANYTHING special. He could be any other guy, so why with all the hype over him?

Besides, we already saw the 'badass, armour-clad alien buster' done before. And by a woman, too
I do enjoy the Zelda games, I've beaten every one. I do like Mario games as well, of course, they're brilliantly designed.

Yeah, I'm actually addicted to the franchise. Since I've got an exclusively Mario-themed blog since 2007, I'm almost like a Mario-scholar. Super Mario Wiki happens to be one of my favorite websites.

Sure! Not only the games, but alternative media such as animated movies, OVA's, TV series, comic books, the movie... and everything sounds so cool when we read it that way.

Yeah, not only frogs are important to that game, but also tadpoles — and cloud people who assume to be an amphibian...

Indeed. I'm up to Nimbus Land at the moment, and Mallow still doesn't realise who and what he is... what is Nimbus Land's average IQ anyway? They were conned into thinking a huge black bird is part of their race...
