This is my winning entry for the recent Avengers Redesign Contest at Superhero Of The Month [link]The challenge was to redesign a team of five Avengers. You could choose any character you like as long as they had been a member of the Avengers during their career as a superhero.
I was having trouble choosing which characters to include in my Avengers team. I then came up with the idea to create a Black-Ops team of Avengers (similar to X-Force or Justice League Elite) which made it easier to select characters based on the suitability of their skills and powers for a team of this kind.

I love these redesigns, but Hawkeye and Mockingbird look like they're both holding in a fart with enough noxious fumes to wipe out the population of a small country.

Very nice, black-ops redesign of the West Coast Avengers! Vision, since he can change his density to move through solid objects(walls, floors, ceilings, people!)fly and interface with computers(he also came up with the ideal of a West Coast team)! Hawk-Eye and Mocking Bird, founding members, leaders, 2 former SHIELD agents so they have plenty of experience and training in stealth, espionage and black ops(plus Hawk-Eye's arsenal of trick arrows for any opponent, situation and battle ground make him a great sniper and Mocking Bird's battle staves make her perfect for close range fighting)! U.S Agent, most likely the liaison for the United States Government, provides the team a Captain America figure, loyal and super patrioticΒ soldier, follows orders, has America's best interests in mind and with his powers and shield, a mid to long range fighter. Finally, my favorite, Moon Knight, connected to Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon, justice and vengeance, provide inside info from the streets as Jake Lockley, cab driver, money and info from high society as billionaire playboy Steven Grant, experience as a boxer, marine commando, CIA operative and a mercenary, pilot friend Frenchie, inspires a great deal of fear in the criminal element! This entry deserved to win, congrats!

I love all the redesigns, as usual ( you are easily one of my favorite redesigners) but whole MK is a brilliant updated look (especially the use of the entire moon behind the sliver) Hawkeye's simple update is now my current favorite look for that character....

Vision and Moon Knight are my favorites of the lot. Giving Vision the hooded cape and taking it away from Moonie was a nice choice, kinda further removes him from Batman comparisons.

I quite like US Agent and Mockingbird, while I have mixed feelings on Vision and Hawkeye (Vision is definitely better than his current Ultimate self at least, though while I like Hawkeye's coat thing, his mask makes him look too much like Red Robin), and I'm not fond of Moon Knight's design, he looks too alien, bu overall, good job.

Great work. I believe they've done this idea, with the Secret Avengers. Moon Knight was apart of the team. Check it out.
