It was a warm one today but the kittens woke up for me and decided to pay and lounge around in the pool for a while. I can't believe how much they've grown in the past month! I still don't know their names, but I'm pretty sure this is the largest of the cubs (if anyone can provide me names and a verification on that I would greatly appreciate it) No matter how many times the volunteers tell me their names they slip right out of my mind again.
They're such beautiful girls, I could sit there and watch them all day (and I'm pretty much guilty of just that.
You probably cant see it on DA, but there is a fly just to the left of her right ear that she was swatting at just after this picture was taken. It shows up on the full size but I think it's too tiny to see at 800 pixels.

Edit: after a bit of google leg work it looks like this is Changbai. She's a very photogenic baby.

What a beautiful creature, you have really captured something awesome.
In my opinion (which doesnt count for much, don't worry) the composition is ok but the eyes are very central, which gives it quite a "snapshot" feel rather than "artistic", the depth of field and warm colour balance do save it though.
I wouldve framed either a little closer (still trying to keep DOF as low as poss) or a little wider, and postitioned the eyes higher in the frame, and (probably by the direction the animal is looking) a little to the right side.
But of course you seem to be much more adept at photography than me, and I wouldnt want to ask a tiger to "hold still while i just pull focus" or anything, haha

Lighting, framing- everything about this shot is perfect. I have never seen such a gorgeous photo taken at a zoo... the tiger appears to be in a natural environment.

I believe the cubs' names are Changbai, Koosaka, and Terney.
But I can never tell the difference.
Nope. I've been workin' in the Children's Zoo for the past few months. ^^ Yep. Love hte goats but, I wanna see the cubs. T.T
