Philadelphia ZooMerlin is the only male of this pride. He's huge and magnificent...and very sleepy. I watched these guys for a long long time and he sat up only once, to watch a butterfly go by. then he yawned(this picture) and lay back down to go to sleep.
One of his females (Zenda I believe) watches from the other side of the enclosure.
Philadelphia zoo is the pits for photography, but they do have nice signage. it's good to know the animal's names.

Yeah. I agree with that photography thing but, you never get to see big cats like that up close. It's amazing! Come back anytime!
