Author's Notes:

- Ah yes, we now get to the Kiba portion of this Kiba chapter. I think i mentioned before that alot of this arc was originally planned VERY differently - as to put focus on the city of slateport and how chaotic it is. But instead, once I realized that this story IS its characters, I switched that chaotic focus to the hearts of my protagonists. So a majority of this arc is about starting to explore how and why they act the way they do. I realize that's super vague and won't make sense until after this arc is done LOL, but on this page in particular I made the conscious decision to reeaaally start actively getting inside the heads of characters other than Asadi and Sammy more often. Kiba is someone whose motivations through the story so far might seem a bit contradictory, and there's a reason for that. But it's ALOOOT to unpack as the story unfolds.

- If you're like ??? regarding Kiba asking if Asadi is okay, recall the last time Kiba was out of her pokeball. That said, the way time passes for pokemon in pokeballs is weird, and something i'll get into later on

- Oh Joeeee, you're such a daaadd. I'm tickled to finally have more scenes with him after he and his entire family became the butt of my art stream's jokes (which is hilarious and I love it btw)

- I hope you're ready to watch me fight with the formatting for these thought bubbles for the next couple chapters lolll

- I just finished sketching the entirety of chapter 16 and posting this page makes me so excited for when we finally get to it later this year GODDD
