EDIT: I went back in and edited the panel where Joe is stressing out so that it reads more like his thoughts and less like the people around him are actually saying bad things about his crying child haha (but i'll still leave the author's note below). I find it super interesting how many people had concerns about human/pokemon double standards when it looked like the people in the bg were complaining about Tyson crying. This is not that situation, but keep big braining ya'll OvO

During which the pokemon finally get their share of screentime again!

Author Notes:

- MISS LUCEILLE IS HERE! Okay so full disclosure she's just a side character for this scene but she became an art stream darling (it was the luceille and joe show LMAO) and it still warms my heart so much that riverplath went and drew her for my birthday last year!!! Now she's finally, officially joined the fray! You can view her original design here!

- Oh man, Tyson ALSO makes his official appearance. Fun fact, he originally didn't have clothes like a regular machop until the entire stream screamed why is this child naked while his dad's strutting around in khakis??? To which I replied. Bet.

- Hopefully it's obvious but in case it's confusing, nobody's actually talking in that purple panel where Joe is freaking out. Those are just all the things he assumes people are thinking around him at that moment.

- Iiiiittt's AKELA! I definitely made varying character interactions a priority this arc. So there's mons and people crossing that you wouldn't normally consider/ haven't seen at this point, and I love seeing how they play off of each other

- The Pokeroom!! It's essentially a hollowed out conference room with faux grass stages of sorts where the temp workers' service pokemon can grab n go. It's largely self sufficient, but there are several lombre and 1 ludicolo (that being miss luceille ofc) to help cleanup or serve food to those without opposable thumbs. Not kiba though. Kiba's a big girl.

Or well she was until the last few panels. Guess you can say's been...kibnapped.
