He looks like the sort of cat whose had "Oh! You're just so cute!" squealed at him once too often and now bites the minute someone tries to pet him.
I like the rougher look you've gone for rather than the smooth fur. He looks better for it and it adds to both his cute form and the annoyed air of his expression.
