Wow! This new submission system is awesome!Anyway. A nice drawing of Shirinara.
I advise that you leave before she casts an unpleasant spell on you! She's definitely my least sociable character. She hates pretty much everyone. Especially humans and males.Didn't scan perfectly, but oh, well. The leaves' shading is better in the real thing. And the scanner wiped out all but a few of the many greens I put into the moss. =/

Aaah, I love the grass sooo much Peachfuzz. And the cloudy, dotty sky looks great against the black-edged fiery leaves.
The gradient/ shading on her limbs and torso is so well-done, as it looks really soft and fuzzy.

I like the drawing way of the red leaves surrounding the sky and the details. I often think I want to draw the tree with detailed leaves one by one like this. but it easily become strange.
I notice your sign "Peachfuzz.deviantart.com" at the top right is very good color design, avoiding from disturbing the art.

This time I'm amazed I've commented about 10 years ago, what the long time passes! and the long years give me the eyes to feel and appreciate the art. this time I feel the color of the stone is superb, it show slight moisture in the forest, and on the color balance, the brown autumn leaves and Shirinara's color, and the sky and her accessories make strong contrast, but the stone make it mild, and the blue part concentrate on the center of the upper part make the variation on the art, the air around the earth and around the leaves are different, and it concern to the moisture around the earth. on making the winamp skin from this art, in the whole time I see this art and I notice many things, and long time I see this art, I really take to this art more and more. it's a decade delayed fav!

Wow, what a wonderful compliment on this old artwork! I always try to balance the colors and create certain moods. I'm glad that I was able to do that at the time that I made this artwork. I think that's why this artwork is one that I am still proud of in a way.
And thank you for noticing the stones! I think they are poorly drawn, but the gray was strategic. Gray is my favorite color and I have about 30 different gray markers. I chose the hue and value carefully to enhance the color mood.
