Look who got a makeover! I barely even recognize Obsidian with all of these doodads and this crazy outfit! Here's how the she used to look, before I got off my heiney and designed her some clothing: www.deviantart.com/peachfuzz/a…

I'm pretty pleased with the get-up. It's African-inspired, I can say, but I actually know little of the place and its styles and I didn't do any research. So pretty much this is just my weirdness. (Plus a little inspiration from my good buddy NiaraSusarin , who helped form the basics of the outfit when she did Obsidian in an art trade, here: www.deviantart.com/niarasusari… ) I like how funky she looks (It matches her personality) and it's actually just ironic that I was thinking of Africa when designing the outfit because I wasn't thinking of the fact that Obsidian is black. She pulls off the look pretty well, I'd say. The green ribbon disappears into the trees of the background, which is my fault due to bad planning. I also wish now that I had made her cap green, not red, because it sinks into her hair too much.

I'm a bit angry at my scanner for homogenizing the reds and oranges again. It always does that! The real one has very noticeable differences between Poppy Red, Scarlet Lake, and Pale Vermillion, but my scanner made the three more or less the same. I know my shading skills on clothing especially can be iffy, but really, it'd look better if you could see all the colors. And I also had issues accounting for all the shadows and ended up omitting that of the tail on purpose to avoid messing up. If someone wants to digitally show me where that shadow (Or all of them) should fall, I'd appreciate the help.
