Description
"It's only been in the past few years that the battered male syndrome has gotten serious attention. The latest percentage of battered men was placed at approximately 36% or roughly 835,000 of the 2.3 million abuse cases reported yearly. Researchers believe that those figures are far from accurate for the obvious reason that most men are very reluctant to admit they have been victims of abuse."Just like how I oppose male rape. I find that the fact nearly no males ever come forward during abuse just sad and depressing.
Women are always the ones that are raped, beaten, hurt, sexually harassed, and depicted as victims on the news. When men are so ashamed they don't ever want their name and face shown after those things happen.
Not saying females don't suffer, but I am saying men don't get much slack or comfort -if any- when they're the victim.
-
In some societies females are feeling more and more empowered and much like some races and ethnicities they are indulging so much in the rights they've got they can push things too far. We want equality not females making men suffer for all the years they were repressed, we want equality not Jews slaughtering Germans for the past, just like we want equality not African Americans enslaving Americans for what was done to their ancestors.
If we simply act like vengeance-craving dogs we'll become what we hate. If the tables are turned then the cycle's just going in reverse.

Domestic abuse is not okay no matter the genders involved, period.

I'll never understand why people think otherwise. Especially anime fans.

This is how I felt watching Your Lie in April. For those of you who don't know, Your Lie in April is a show which derives humor from the main character Kousei getting beaten up by his female friends, often for no good reason. Kousei suffered physical abuse from his mother at a very young age, and his friends are aware of that, but they still hit him anyway, and only one person apologizes for it at the end.

How could people really think abuse is okay if they have a penis

Maybe because people seem to think that women can't stand up for themselves, whereas, men have to "Be a man" about it.

My mom is a fucking monster who thinks that just because men have more physical strength most of the time means that female abusers should never be punished. My mom actually advocates a misandric society as payback. I actually fear for my life whenever I'm in the same room as my mom.

Men's rights in general are dangerously overlooked from what I've seen. I have friends on Facebook who genuinely think that all men are sexist pigs and think of men's rights as a joke. Nobody ever seems to talk about how it's still legal to circumcise a newborn male, or how women have a higher chance of winning custody over their baby, or most importantly, how all men are still expected to live up to overwhelming gender stereotypes, like being on the giving end in a straight relationship. It really makes me afraid of being a guy in today's society.

Being a male or a trans male is especially hard in this day, because men being trans is being taken less and less seriously, they're "fakers" or "doing it for attention" when most anyone comfortable in their body would not ever consider the lengthy surgeries needed to become female.
A common stereotype is the male satisfied but the woman is not, and that's not often the guy's fault, the female body is actually designed poorly for reproductive sex to be pleasurable unless toys or devices or very weird angles used. The male can't be faulted when only a small percentage of women can achieve orgasms through intercourse, it's biological and many males go out of their way to try and satisfy the impossible.

My dad is a lawyer, and he represented a guy, who's sister beat him (She was drunk), and then he hit her back, and no lie this is on a recording, she said "They won't ever believe you"
It ended up him being arrested. I don't know what the verdict was but I truly hope that it was not guilty.
What she said has stuck with me since I was 8. I literally can't get that case out of my head.

I really hate it when people expect them to 'man up', abuse doesn't work that way. Anyone can suffer.
