...What the heck did I just draw?I guess I was thinking Fi's arms were cool and kinda smooshed them onto this design.
Then I was all, slugs!
Seahorses. Crawfish or whatever they're called.
Tried a dragon-y approach but I'll have to build on that if I think it's a good idea.
Then I doodled more of that weird grass-hopper Fi form for the heck of it.

Pardon me for asking, but aren't all digimon that evolve supposed to be hard to draw? In that case you're probably right on the mark with your concepts here. I like the one you doodled the most, but I am also interested in the seahorse idea. More invertebrates is good, I suppose! (Is a seahorse an invertebrate...?)

Not all digimon. Palmon's evolution for example. It's easy to draw. It's a cactus with boxing gloves, go fish.

Well I want it to be a fairly flowing design. You can get a "difficult looking design with lots of detail" but it can have a fairly simple structure shape. Like Flamedramon and Submarimon compared to Imperialdramon. Most insect digimon get the short end of the stick for me to use as comparison though.
I mostly find his "cloth arms" tricky to fathom. I wanted something fairly flowing and I'm used to bones. Making him a less thin compared to the initial head-worm in my brain helped a bit in making him feel a little more solid I think.
Well... Not sure honestly about seahorses. They're pretty adorable though. I have to think what direction I want to take that design if I use it.

Well, I know you can make it work. It is just a bunch of efforts, though, and you'll eventually find what you really like. I'm just encouraging the one you drew the most since it looks like you like it as a result.

Ah I was messing around with that one because it popped into my head all of a sudden. It's sort of like a more lithe version of his champion form I guess.

I guess. But I don't know how same-y I want his forms to be.
...Though comparing Flamedramon to Exveemon, and Halsemon to Aquilamon sort of fits with this case.
