Description
The Excursion was one of the first warp - capable starships ever constructed by Pegasus Industries. She was constructed as an exploration ship with all the facilities required to sustain a crew of 20; consisting of two pilots. a captain, 10 scientists, 4 engineers and 3 general purpose deckhands (navigators and the like). The warp drive was an improvement over the original warp cores, being smaller and requiring less power, however could only sustain warp for 5 minutes. The small amount of time in warp means the Excursion had to leapfrog its way to distant systems. She was approximately 1000 meters long and had one of the largest omni-directional antenna arrays ever fitted to a starship at the time.
