Description
From the description of Lily's death in Deathly Hallows.I've wanted to draw this for awhile and finally got around to it. I figured she must have heard James' death on her way up the stairs and probably had a split second of horror at loosing her husband before mustering some courage to keep going and protect her son.
This is a rather morbid one, but I meant more to focus on her bravery and maternal strength rather than her death.
I thought a lot about mothers as I was drawing this one, so I suppose that means it's dedicated to all of them.

actually, I think you might be right. It describes James handing Harry to Lily and then Voldemort shows up. I suppose she could have put Harry down upstairs and came back to the living room, but that's pretty unlikely. Thanks for pointing it out!

Thank you! In the three frames on the right, I changed the color scheme to green, and since red and green are opposite colors, it comes out very dark.

Welll, girlfriend... Need I tell you this is beautiful? Hopefully not. But let's go int a bit of detail nonetheless:
a) lovely scene you picked there. Well, not lovely, but... You know what I mean! No coffee, yet... XD
b)Great compositon
c) I am thoroughly in love with the silent last frame (weelllll... most of teh frames are silent. Which makes them so powerful.
d) I congratulate you on your colouring prowess. Those are some lovely ways to work the lineart.

I'm SO glad you like the colors (or colours)! That was a nightmare--kept reworking it over and over until I just gave up. How's that for can-do attitude?
