Description Car wash time! And a guano joke as well.

When last we saw Miyuki's car it was the previous model; I can only assume there's a guy who makes a living painting Z's neon lime for her and slapping carbon fiber hoods on them. This picture guest stars some friends (from the left): a Mallard, a Common Raven, a California Gull, a Grackle, a Brandt's Cormorant, a Brown Pelican, a Great Blue Heron, and a Peregrine Falcon (flying). I see all of these guys around my part of town fairly regularly.

My next low brow bird joke will be all about the Blue-Footed Booby, I promise.

Ink drawing colored in photoshop,

Enjoy,

~D

Admiring her work before they take a dump all over it.  I wish our birds in Western Massachusetts were that appreciative.

I've noticed the birds here wait until I've put the hose away. They also seem to be trying to aim for the either the driver's door handle, or somewhere in the vicinity of where the door meets the b-pillar that you might touch by accident (hate to think what would happen if I accidentally left the sunroof open).

I'd say she's lucky I didn't draw this in the winter, or she'd have our seasonal guest, the Canadian Goose. Although...

You have some interesting birds in your neighborhood...of course, Cali's WAY different from CT and New England in general. Anyway, your girls are HOT-keep 'em coming! (Would really like to see the "blue-footed booby" joke-just a suggestion..)

Let me gess. The hawk grabs the top and the stork grabs the bottom. Am I right?

They're planning on doing what birds do on freshly washed cars. They're just waiting for her to leave - it's the same principle as trees dripping their sap, or cats and raccoons with their paw prints.

Nice idea.. I still like my idea. Maybe you combine them. What do you think?

I share the same complaint as PenguinsRoyalGuard. But I fail to see the Brown Pelican you mentioned.

Between the Heron and the Cormorant. He has the juvenile markings, so he has a brown, rather than a white head (which is what you usually see). Also, I didn't get his bill the right color, it should be darker and a bit more muted. The pelican I drew here - [link] (pic is rather NSFW) is more Pelicany.

Ah, I see it now. But you have 8 birds listed and 7 shown. Which one is hiding?

There's a small brown bird between the Seagull and the Cormorant - I identified it as a Grackle, but it's a little small and Grackles are very rare here, so it'd be much better as a female Blackbird. If you download the large view you can see it a little better.

Actually, it turned out to be a Canadian goose - [link]

Although maybe the Booby can be next...

That's some pretty awesome wildlife you have around there. And I love how they all seem to be smiling innocently

Ok how dare you make a bird dillema and NOT include a Penguin. Otherwise another fine masterpiece

I thought about it, but I really wanted to have all the local birds that I see on a regular basis (sadly, we have no penguins, well not in the wild at least).

Actually that is just the law of the world in general. You work hard to make things right and good and SOMEBODY ruins it.
