Description
Miyuki as a futuristic cyborg, for 's "draw your character as a cyborg" art jam. Sounded like a fun idea. We'll eventually see a cyborg in those there comics, it won't actually be Miyuki, but I thought she'd make a cute cyborg assassin. Turns out she looks like Battle Angel Alita...Ink drawing colored in photoshop.
Enjoy,
~D

Nice design work. Metallic Purple is definitely her color. Nice job.

She does look a lot like Alita!!! I love it though, the purple and blue neon scheme.

Yup, that was a good part of the inspiration for this one - Battle Angel is an old favorite of mine.

Despite the change in attire, you maintained the essential Miyuki-ness. I LOVE IT! The glow effects rock, and the digitized information in her eyes is really well done. And here I thought she was dangerous before...
P.S- I Look forward to the cyborg comic introduction.

Awesome!!! She looks great as a cyborg...she does favor Battle Angel Alita very much....which is not a bad thing at all! (Alita is my favorite comic/manga/anime character of all time) The glowing effects and the sword are too cool, I love how her feet look, and the cybernetic detail in her eyes is just amazing!!! Great Job!!!
Thanks for participating! I really dig your character Miyuki a lot, and it's really cool to see her as a cyborg!

Battle Angel is one of my personal favorites too; I think it shows a little in Miyuki's normal look as well.
I'm glad the detail in her eyes shows up. I usually work big and shrink things down for the web, so I was worried it might blur out.
Thanks for hosting the event, it was a lot of fun.

Actually, now that you mention it, I can see Alita's influence in Miyuki's normal look!
Yeah...those eyes are super cool! I'm glad that you had fun doing this...that's exactly what I was going for! Thanks again for participating!

Half human Half robot.
not an ANDROID

Japanese Hawaiian American.
As pictured here she's a cyborg like the Major in Ghost in the Shell, or Battle Angel Alita - mostly robot but with human parts. Since it's a one-off picture I didn't really think through how it would all work.

I see...
very nice job on her design.
Q: This might sound very wrong and weird but I'm always curious about this when it comes to cyborgs!!
Um, you said mostly robot but human parts,
Does she have reproduction organs still in her body???

Well, once again I didn't think it through since she isn't normally a cyborg, but I suppose she has one body that looks, and largely functions in a way that is, more or less human, and one that's built purely for fighting (which would be this one). She'd have to have some way of swapping her brain from one to the other, either physically or via network, like in Ghost in the shell.
That's what I would do, at any rate.

WHOA!!
Swapping the brain?
So, like transfering her soul or something??

Ghost in the Shell does it that way, but it raises a lot of philosophical questions in the process. Alternately, you could have her brain in a detachable pod and move it from body to body (like taking the HD out of your PC and putting it in a new one).

WOW,
the idea is really cool and scientific!
Q: DO you think it wil be possible in the future?
and, do yoy think it would be a good idea to dvelop such an
invention?

They could probably build a brain pod eventually, we have artificial organs now, so it's really a matter of miniaturizing the ones you need to keep your brain alive, and understanding the nervous system well enough to be able to detach and reattach the brain without destroying the whole thing.
I can't see a real world use for it though - transplanting a brain of a terminally ill person would be useful, but making their brain modular seems like a lot of trouble for something you'd almost never find a practical use for.

WOW, I see...
but I think the world would be a much more hectic place if
such technology would appear.
Reminds me of the movie "Freaky Friday"
Where the daughter and the Mother's soul changes.
And, yeah, I think that people won't have personalities since our brain can be transferred to other bodies.
The body is something, like a CAR, where you can change one after another, sell it , buy it,
but i think it might be a problem because like how you said
making their brains modular might cause a lot of trouble,

I think generally we identify ourselves too much with our bodies to want to swap, except in really extreme circumstances, like a terminal disease or fatal trauma. But if we have the technology to swap brains we'd probably be able to fix any other problems as well.
But this drawing wasn't meant to be realistic so much as look cool; we already have battlefield robots, after all, and they don't look like people at all.
