Round 3 of Fallout Motorcycles, this time, the capital wasteland. The rubble choked streets of DC are largely impassible to humvees and trucks, so for urban scouting and courier operations motorcycles are an ideal combination of high speed and small size.

The Brotherhood Outcasts normally use robots and power armored foot patrols for scouting, but for some parts of the Capital Wasteland a speedy entrance, reconnaissance, and exit are more useful (and less costly) than occupation by force. This bike, a former army scout from the Ft. Independence Motor Pool now painted in the Outcasts' black and red, carries minimal stowage, just the rider's AER9 laser rifle.

Reilly's Rangers use motorcycles as part of their ongoing wasteland scouting/mapping operation, as well as to move smaller amounts of ammo and supplies rapidly to squads in the field. The example here has a fair amount of stowage, including a medical supply box and a Chinese Type 93 assault rifle for the rider, suitable for either an extended scouting mission, or a resupply mission for a small group of rangers.

Likewise, Talon Company uses motorcycles for motorized recon and to run ammo and messages from Ft. Bannister to its various operations in the field. The R91 assault rifle on this bike is stowed in a way that the rider can't access it easily; he would use a 10mm pistol or SMG to defend himself, or simply use the bike's speed to escape.

And hey, they announced Fallout 4 the other day.
