Hooray!I like halloween a lot, it's one of those holidays that's just fun; no family obligations, no events to attend aginst your will, no last minute preperations causing a crush in the city's available parking...
Anyway, here's Clarissa. I haven't posted her on DA yet, but I've done a few short silly comics with her in the past. Since she's gothy she gets to the calendar girl for halloween. She found the Jack-o-lantern patch alright, but what with the spooky tree, haunted windmill and the fact that imps and/or goblins have stolen every last stitch of her costume it seems like things are headed more towards trick than treat.

To Gothy beginnings...love the Halloween Tree like background...and from this I gather you actually started doing art before you got to DA? I love how you already had grandiose plans of a yearly installment way back then

I was posting on Renderosity before I came to DA, so the early stuff was up there first. I still have my account but I don't use it anymore - although they had a traditional/2D gallery it was always a 3D art site first and foremost, and that's what people went there to see.
I actually still like this one, even if (hopefully) I've improved. Have you seen the more recent years yet?

I had the same username there, I think maybe an underscore instead of a hyphen? Since I've replaced my PC a few times since I've really done anything there my password won't be saved, so I don't know about logging in (although I could probably guess it again).
It'll mostly look like the earliest stuff here, I guess.

I drew her by hand (pencil on paper, subsequently inked). All the colors were done in photoshop, as were the glow effects. the background was made out of some stock photos, but quite a few (the windmill I made out of three different windmills to get the shape and look right.
Didn't use any plugins really, just outer glow on some of the layers and add noise + paint daubs to get the ground texture.
