What is this?

I wrote a Journal about going after the schemers, scammers and spammers on DeviantART: Danger -- I Bite! Fighting the SPAMMER-SCAMMERS . O, wait, DA lets me use a background image. Look for something appropriate in my files -- nada – time to build something. The last part of my diatribe compares the antispam process to swatting flies. Hmm. Flies, meet swatters. The flies are from two images for vermin identification (one is a sales pitch). The swatter images are all from Amazon.com; by all means, if you need a fly swatter and can’t drive to store order one from them. What? Why couldn’t you drive to the store? Maybe you live in Alaska and the ‘store’ is a two-bit trading post that’s always out of everything and anyway, you live 500 miles away. Trust me, in the summertime, bugs in Alaska can and will carry you off. Heck, they eat Grizzly Bears for breakfast.

How did you do this?

I actually did the background for the Journal first. I used paint.net to crop, resize and ‘fade’ the images (use the Contrast and Brightness sliders to adjust). Super simple. Once I had the Journal posted I decided it looked cool, so I recreated the arrangements without the fade.
