If you're thinking of buying a Table, WACOM will be the best choice, because is simply the best, and i love they battery-less Pen design.

I started with something like Bamboo, and then i move on my current one.
you can start with Bamboo. i trust Wacom, is easy to use, non like other brand, which you have to put battery into the pen. I will recommend you to start with Bamboo or Bamboo fun, once you get use to it, then move on to a better one.

would it be cool with you if i converted it to work in gimp?

petercui In reply to valke312 [2008-03-04 06:01:08 +0000 UTC]

You mean the PDF document? or the Photoshop Samples?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

valke312 In reply to petercui [2008-03-04 08:00:38 +0000 UTC]

well, actually kind of both. it should be fairly simple really, but there are slightly different things one must do to achieve the same feel that the travel series (awesome, soooo very awesome) in gimp. i was thinking of doing a kind of convert kind of thing that is similar (using the samples) to create travel-like wallpaper in gimp with a walkthough. physically converting the instructions would be impossible, but with your permission, i'd like to give it a whirl. i will of course credit you fully.

petercui In reply to valke312 [2008-03-04 12:17:20 +0000 UTC]

You mean technique ? I never use Gimp before, so i got no idea how to do it in Gimp. b
But if you want to make a tutorial base on my Travel technique, you are most welcome, and i have no problem with that. I believe knowledge should share freely.
