Description
Anatomy:A - inhalation pore
B - first heart
C - respiratory muscle
D - gill
E - ventral "scale"
F - layer of skin
G - gill pouch
H - exhalation pore
I - reproductive organs
J - incomplete gut
K - stomach
L - mouth/anus
M - fin
N - second heart
O - atrery
P - vein
Q - kidney
R - dorsal "scale"
S - axial nerve
T - ganglium
The anatomy is labelled, so there is not much to talk about, other than that the hearts. One of them propells the blood from the body into the gill pouch and the other one forces it from the gill piuch into the body.
It has only an incomplete gut, so the waste has to go through the same hole the food went inside.
It has a single inhalation pore, a single "gill pouch" and three exhalation pores. The gill pouch will have use in propulsion, the exiting water will propell the animal forwards.
This animal is the same for the animals on Beta Colibri as Pikaia was for animals on earth, because it'll give rise to "vertebrates".
The animal still has no true bones, but the "scales" are what will give rise to limb girdles and backbone eventually.
I see the exhalation pores should have been done in a more streamlined fashion, but that's only a minor detail, the purpose of this was putting the general idea on paper, so I still call it successful.
The next in line will be "Aradulata", meaning "without radulae."
They will be similar in shape, but bigger,
they'll have well-developped eyes,
paired gill pouch,
six exhalation pores instead of three,
the "ventral scales" will become "lateral scales" and will have fin-like projections for increased stability,
complete gut,
second stomach (called "maceration stomach" which will be full of tooth-like projections - this is where the radulae will come from in the future)
the mouth will still be in the aft, but it will have a beak which will be surrounded by three tentacles for grasping small prey - it was suggested to me by *disrhythmic (THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA!)
I first thought I will have to trash this idea entirely,
(but come on! vertebrate with tentacles! What is more alien than that!)
So I then decided to fit this feature to proto-vertebrates at least.
Cephalopods are happy to use them, so once there was jet propulsion in the equation...
It doesn't matter what is on the other end of the tentacles, does it?

Nice anatomical drawing. I could use something like this for the Starglazers.

Cool! It actually Looks like a Pikaia (although, and I'm not sure, Pikaia was much more wormlike). I wonder what all life on earth would look like if it were to evolve from this instead of Pikaia( probably much more cooler, don't you think)?

Yes. I was playing around with some sketches of simple creatures... well. to say the truth, this one would be more like haikouichthys than pikaia, but this animal is still blind, so it's rather half way between being pikaia and haikouichthys.
I don't know what life would have looked like if it evolved from this animal (You see, this is for my project on an alien planet, not an alternative Earth) but the ventral and dorsal "scales" are made of cartillage and are supposed to form limb girdles and backbone in the future, so there will be hexapods instead of tetrapods as the most dominant animals on land.

TENTACLES! <3
-raises hand- How big would this freaky little thing be?

as you said, very little, maybe 2 inches, but I imagine the "fish-o-squids" - the "Aradulatids" to be some 6 inches long, so we'll gradually grow as big as the elephantine behemoth I posted earlier!
Somewhat, I feel these simpler creatures look more alien than their more complex descendants

Oh, gotcha. ^^
Well, yeah, when you're used to things having four appendages and a visible head region... these things are kind of creepy. Especially when you start picturing a swarm of them... -shudder-

P.S. I spotted a fatal mistake! This critter cannot reproduce! >

No worries though, I'll replace this with an editted version soon!
But on the second thought, there might well be animals with reprodictive tissue embedded within their skin... That would be odd to sweat sperm... 0_o"

...oh, the mental images. XD
It's not a bad idea though. Even the klutziest and least desirable agnatha would get a shot. "Oh, did I just brush up against you? I dunno how on -earth- that happened. No ulterior motive to that at all, nope."

Yeah! I will maybe not please you this time, but I imagine the ancient seas to be literally swarming with creatures like these!
and wait for the "tentacletails"! that would make the right alien look come true!
And do you remember the amphibian-like critter I uploaded earlier? that one is going to change A LOT!
I cannot force convergence to such extreme!
