I'd love to make a full-body sketch of this dragon. If that's alright, of course.

Sweet! I think I have a perfect reference for the creatures appearance too. Ever heard of the earless monitor lizard?

Also, in regards to the dragon, are you okay with it gaining some info and a scientific name based on your description of it?

Ahh, I can tell from the skull design that this was inspired by the spinosaurids. Awesome doodle!

Dare I ask how this guy shuts his mouth? Neat design and the barbed tongue is a cool touch.

I may have some anatomical issues here, but the dragon is supposed to have an underbite and the buzzsaw semicircular elements are supposed to alternate in such a way that the back teeth in the lower jaw should come into the gap between the front and back teeth in the upper jaw, but I see that got a bit lost in this illustration... It works just fine in an unpublished sketch where I drew the mouth closed.

I'd imagine that unpublished sketch would clear things up but your explanation is just as good.
Did you have any idea how big this dragon would be, out of curiosity?

I would say about 35 ft wingspan? Nothing crazy but I would say that is still big enough for something with such a maw... I have snapped a quick picture of the sketch I mentioned, just out of curiosity as to what you think about it
The neck is also a complete work in progress here and I think it should be more slender, I prefer serpentine necks on dragons....

Sounds good to me! Our tastes in dragons seem to overlap quite a bit.
