I have just realized that there should be only a row of teeth on the extended lower endognaths of the 'dolphin' but whatever... XDI think it's funny how it still bears resemblance to some of my older concepts, like these: [link] [link] [link] [link]

I am still obsessing over the variability!
The 'dolphin's' jaws gave me an interesting internal anatomy idea: the bone structure of the endognaths could project outward like with other animals, but then curve back toward the base, the external surface being smoothed by cartilage, muscle, and skin. Or the curve in the mandibles could be used to house some type of sensory organs. Sorry, I got carried away with that.

I'm remotely reminded of the Furahan sawjaw (here [link] ) with its four eyes, four jaws and two serrated tongues (the sawjaw's ancestors were hexaradial and so had six jaws; they may have even more resembled your creature). I particularly like the double faces; as a whole they seem alien but in pieces it seems you can divide each "head" into two separate faces.

I have found out about Furaha recently and it quickly became one of my favourite projects, but I have started my project long before knowing about it and about most of the other similar projects here on DA and elsewhere on the internet. I do hope that while there may be some observable similarities (here it may not be obvious, but I based this anatomy on eight jaws originally, two of which fused with the braincase to provide additional support for the other jaws. I have a concept for a large gulp-feeding creature with a prolonged rostrum (just to break down the suspicious "six-jawedness" 
Basically, if you look here: [link] the maxilla and mandibula should be called endognaths too, because that's what they used to be.
I am just trying to say that any resemblance to Furaha is incidental, and hopefully vague rather than obvious, because I've tried to make these concept as much my own as I could, but completely avoiding "convergent speculation" is unrealistic, but hopeflly, this collection of sketches: [link] provides enough evidence that my vertebrate analogues live their own life and follow a different evolutionary path independent of Furaha.
Also the links in the description above show that I've tried to recycle my old ideas and put them together in a different way, rather than copy someone else's work
You could say that these crearures also resemble Furahan lifeforms: [link] [link] but the similarity is incidental and the creatures are very different on the inside: [link]
And coincidentally, this is Alex's species Birrin: [link] and this is someone else's sentient species that originated independently: [link]
Each time, there may be similarities, but also equally striking differences when the two concepts are examined in detail.

we all have similar-working brains, so maybe that's why this happens, we drive our inspiration from similar sources maybe, and we only have one nature to look at, maybe all that is what causes it?
but I have always felt very limited when making flying organisms. insects, bats, pterosaurs and birds. that's quite limited sample book. XD seriously, I would love to see what flying organisms on other planets look like, I'd like to see to which degree their unique evolutionary path would affect the shape of their wings and to which degree the alien wings woul be unique. insects and vertebrates do have something in common though, the leading edge is the structurally strongest part of the wing, so maybe that is a consequence of the aerodynamics and therefore it would be true for alien wings too, but there are so many variables that it's very hard to hypothesize something novel-looking...
