Here there is what the majority of my sketches "in fact" looks like, and I oftenly have multiple animals overlapping each other, so now you know what I go through to bring you the "clean" pictures

Here is a "paddled" version of the filter feeder, I personally think I will keep both designs, one more "usual" and one more "alien".

You can see I was experimenting with four or six "wings" to see what you'll like better, but I am leaning towards the four-flippered version, I think it still look "alien enough" and I like the tail section with the hindlegs being short.

This will be followed by another version where I played with ta skin apttern a bit, but I'm still swimming in the "black and white" waters. Even though that, I hope you'll like it!
