Description
Iskhur - Concept of scifi handgun
Another item to collection. It is DEW - energy design. Not projectile based design. I followed profile of my older project DAKINY ( peterku.deviantart.com/art/Dak… ) with few modifications. It is usual work. Concept, modeling and rendering is mine. Work has been done in 3ds max, engine is vray, model is highpoly.

I really like the overall look and feel to this weapon. From an artistic standpoint, it very much matches what you would expect from a tool of this kind. It's dark, sleek, and it connotes the feeling of badassery from the gun design alone. The way you have it laid out almost feels like it's an advertisement and if I saw something like this in the catalog, my mouth would be drooling a bit (well, especially since there are no other energy weapons on the market). I especially like how you've used a stamp to say "Approved" on both this and the other piece depicting this weapon. It's a Keep It Simple, Stupid, minimalistic approach to advertising that lets the product speak for itself.
That being said, and from here I'm only speaking personal preferences on guns, I'm not a fan of safeties on guns. I'm of the thought process that my index finger is my safety (artistically, it looks and feels right so good on ya; I'm just picky about my firearms). Another thing is what looks to be a mag release (I assume since it's an energy weapon that it's a battery release) looks incredibly small and delicate. From an industrial design standpoint, that would be a severe pain in the ass to deal with, from milling and construction to end user use. It really needs to be beefed up a bit so as to avoid accidental releases of the mag/battery. If you're in a firefight, the last thing you need to worry about is not being able to shoot (hence my ideology of why safeties are terrible). On to the positives, though. I love the rail mount system you have for the gun. It adds a level of versatility to the handgun that makes it quickly and easily customizable for any purpose or user. The grip looks very ergonomic and comfortable, and the trigger and guard are both sleek and functional. If you ask me, this is what Han Solo would be carrying if it were available to him.
If you ever work out the technology and start milling and selling these, give me a call. I'll order about five of them.

The only major downfall and this is something extremly nitpicky is that the rail on the bottom wouldnt be able to attach anything securely. (If you need more details of what I mean feel free to email me @ etanercenary14@gmail.com I can supply a longer and generally better and more detailed illustration)
Also I don't see a magazine release or slidecatch. Could be on the otherside of the weapon but keep in mind that almost all weapons these days are ambidexterous. Still great work! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Ahh my mistake.Glad I could help! I'm creating a PDF on firearms for artists.Its slow and tedious so might be another month before finished but you might want to check it out then. I love the amount of realism in your work and this has been the first one I've seen a problem with as minor as it is.

Ha, "Approved for manufacturing." Another great one. My favorite aspect is the detail on the barrel. The black handle is especially a smart touch.

it just you have futuristic designs associated with hard corners. And I use round shape more. You know hard edged modes are making easier so there more models lika that on internet.... bye.

tak ja uz sa v tych graf. kartach moc nevyznam. Ja ked som vyberal kartu tak som chcel hlavne tichu. este pred zimou som kupil ssd disk (pouzivam ho ako systemovy) a to bola riadna zmena k lepsiemu. Neuveritelne to zrychlilo komplet pracu......
