Description To most Bahamians there is nothing more iconic to the Bahamian life style than the ubiquitous conch. Prized for its tasty meat, its shells are scattered all over the landscape especially the beaches and waterfronts.

I remember that story by William Golding. Ralph and Piggy use the conch shell to summon the rest of the children, it represents the power of civilization and order in society. I have never seen anyone here use the conch shell as an instrument!
