Hi! I installed win7 about 5 times, and i ever got the same result. Everything works included transparency for taskbar and startmenu. But the border of all windows looks crazy and the buttons are nearly not to use. I think the program tries to display aero and normal mode at the same time. In base mode all is fine. Had installed 6956 and 7000 on the same machine without probs. Any help would be great.Meanwhile i am sure it fails to load the themes correctly. But how to solve this?

try sfc /scannow or if doesnt work at all, reformat your pc instead...

that's one of the reason because i dont use win7.

This was a Release candidate. RTM version works fine. But i still love my XP.

me too. i have sonething for u. i can made any win7 logon for xp. i can change the background now, not only the big frame user image.

You can change everything you want.You can totally rebuild a new one, using reshacker.It's only a question of taste.

update your video card driver?
go to either nVidia or ATI's site to download hte latest video driver

Same effect with original windows wdd driver,installed by Windows7,the newest Win7 Betadriver from Nvidia and with the driver i used for build 7000. Nothing changes. So i googled around a little. There are more people with this problem. And they all have Nvidia. Maybe Microsoft makes a patch for this. I hope so.

what card do you have?
have u tried changing the screen resolution or the size of the buttons?

I have installed this on a old clunker which has a Geforce6200. It has a WEIscore of 3.2 which is enough for Aero. Tried all resolutions. What do you mean with size of the buttons?

wow... friend... you have a big problem... I recommend windows7 download from Microsoft ... The truth is very strange --- Try to activate the basic style ... and turn off the computer ... then reinstall the airport ... Maybe it's a type of error with the graphics drivers ... Try to install all updates available for Win7 ...

Hi Fran! I have downloaded the file from Microsoft, but it will not work except the base style. The maximize/ minimizebuttons are nearly not visible. You can see on the screenshot how it looks. I will download it from another server and try again. Also had problems with 7000 which i have downloaded four times from Microsoft. Than i went to the piratebay and the first download was working. Crazy. Thanks for your comment.

For enable thirdparty visual styles you need a patch.

Hi Sagor! i have downloaded and installed the patch. But nothing changes. I just thougt so, because the themes are original Microsoft themes and don`t need a patch. But thank you for the tool. I think i will need it one day. I must have a break now. I spended nearly my whole weekend to install the RC with this ugly result.Will try it again another day.

Yes i tried it. The border of the window starts flickering and than the same result. Tried all themes. Only base theme works. Thanks for your comment.
