I will ask Lee (the programmer of Vistart) about this prob. I think it is not possible with the current version of Vistart.
You wanna do something similar to this?fav.me/d7eaah3

Thank you Andreas. Being helpful should be one of the targets of the DA community. To bad that not all see it this way.

Exactly!! I can't forget that 3 years ago when i joined dA, i was like desperate for PC customizations and how these can be achieved. I was looking for docks, themes and all these goodies along with their tutorials. I was thanking those people and i realized from my little dA experience (from the inside) that the least we must do is to appreciate this effort and offer.
Knowledge is power and people with real knowledge in their heads do not see only their "ego" but also support free sharing of that knowledge. We cannot live or breath only for money.
Including high level Professors, Engineers, Doctors and many others who are using lets say Linked in to promote their works but have also groups where they share their knowledge and give access to sensitive content, comment on important topics and generally help others to learn from them. I really like such people. Of course everyone gives something to earn something but i think a middle solution always will say the truth!

Cannot agree more. Meanwhile here's such a lot of egoism and shameless self promotion on DA, that it is no fun sometimes. On the other hand people like you are the reason to stay here.

Yeap. This is what i hate the most Peter, not only here but everywhere actually, even on real life. People fly high today and they think they are the center of the earth and first news on CNN. But if they realise the truth they fell from a big height because they are disappointed. Building a life only on dreams and fantasy, its bad. Facts are the meter to measure life and survive.
Unfortunately naive people today are so many and think strangely that we all owe to them. So funny. This world has so many problems to pass that such people think in their micro head that we all wake up on the morning and we care for their egoism.
From the other part though people know well how to appreciate those who really help them and offer to them value. Who give to them something without an exchange always!!
I'm happy i met on my life people from different sides and that fact, helped me to choose on what side i want to belong. Thanks Peter for anything! Have a nice coming week and see you around! Anytime for the fav friend!!

Great work my friend

Many people don't know much about Vistart8. This was the reason to make this tut. A lot of these things aren't documented anywhere. I only know about them because i was betatesting this app, and i was making the official Vistart8 skin. So i thought this might be helpful for others. The tut isn't perfect, because i forgopt to mention some things. I will make a makeover asap. And you are right, took me some hours to make this.
Thanx for your nice comment my friend.

Excellent tutorial. I think I figured most of this out through reverse engineering current skins so to speak, but there were things I didn't know.

Thank you. As well as the interest is very low, i will make a workover of this deviation next weekend because i forgot some options.

I had no idea ViStart had been updated! I'll definitely look into it when I eventually get Windows 8. Out of curiousity, since I'm not going to have much time to explore for a while, have there been large improvements in terms of loading time at startup?
π: 0 β©: 1
PeterRollar In reply to Tangmeister [2012-10-14 16:22:51 +0000 UTC]
What do you mean with loading time at startup? If you mean Windows8, yes it boots very fast.If you mean Vistart, it is still a little bit slow at startup. But afterwards it works fast, especially the search.

Tangmeister In reply to PeterRollar [2012-10-15 00:00:52 +0000 UTC]
I'd been asking about the loading time for ViStart.
Never mind, I feel like giving it another go on this Windows 7 machine for the fun of it.

Thank you Vishal. I hope so. Many people don't know how flexible the new Vistart is. Maybe some of them create new skins after reading this.
