All in all the design of Apple is much better than Windows OS. Also the integration of mobile OS and PC is done better. On the other hand. All their stuff is expensive to much (imo) Looks fine, but is cheap China trash as all the other do it too.

Apple knows their fare share about design, to be honest.
Though i do not mind window's approach as of late. Literally, imgkk.com/i/7arm.png , is as best as things can go. Maybe because i am a simplicity junkie who loves free space. i dunno X3
Regarding integration. i just have a potato and plug it in as a flash drive whenever i need to do X or change Y file inside it. and that's about it, so... lol integration.

Waste of time, resources, and an overall drain from the user experience, making things worse and more convoluted.
Also, allowing the device to DO changes FOR YOU on YOUR user interface. something i would never tolerate or get over.
in case of my phone, for example.
Unlock Motion -> Password -> Menu with clock and small list of apps in form of text and icons for phone, sms and that on the bottom -> tap app to use -> end of the story
The whole animations and shaodws and lighting shit is in my opinion useless and a waste of people's time and resources.
I wanna write an SMS? Unlock -> SMS -> Contact -> Text to send -> Send . Done.
Music? -> Unlock -> Music Player -> Play ( or directly from the lock menu )
Redact a text for the future? Unlock -> Text Editor -> Writting.
And ladies and gentlemen. that's how a phone should work. no fancy animations. no shitty information about whatever, i don't care what people are doing. it's just my phone. if i want to reach someone i will reach them, i don't need any of that shit. I don't want to do multiple sipes and scroll through ALL the SHIT that they think it might be relevant for me but it's not. because every time i use the phone is for something different. so i just rather unlock and do. rather than unlock, read, swipe, read, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, Where the fuck did my application go?, application menu, swiping, tap, Done.
It's bullshit.
I wish my potato could store screenshots. but all i got is a lock screen. and an empty screen with music controls. text editor, sms, and phone/contact list app. there is literally nothing.
Also.
Why wait 1 second on an animation then 2 aditional seconds until the information is loaded? guess what? without no animation, there are no calculationsto be done or rearrangement of the UI elements that have to be thought. so, the info load even takes less, taking a 3 second wait into a mere second wait, the time it takes you to watch a stupid animation.

someone has forgotten people with sensory issues might hate them forever with that. not only in the 3D realm with the whole volumetric shit, but in the 2D realm with lots of information cluttering and obscuring everything. Way to think on fisabled folks or people who literally can feel claustrophobic on most UIs or simply they can't proces information if loads of shit are on the way.
Tools are tools, we are not meant to spend hours of our life looking at pretty slideshows.
Also. it is late. andmy brain can not deal with subtile commentary or delicate words. so you get my honest truth and opinion
And if you did not figure it out yet, yes. the kidn of disability i have makes processing information hell and the simpler and "more barebone-like" it is, i's just plain better.
Also again sorry for this comment. i can't make a simple lighthearted comment about it in my current state. i want to make sure you undderstand i am not angry at you or anything like that. but i hate when people thinkthat badly thought things are "the future"when they just make things worse.
i am possibly the only one who welcomed windows 8 because it got rid of all the clutter and took a simplistic approach

Wow, this was a long one.
My cell phone is as minimalistic as can be: Monochrome display, wave sounds, no camera. You cannot do anything with it, except calling up someone. And i am glad with it. Only my friends think i'm a little bit crazy.
On my pc i prefer to have some eyecandy, as well as i know it is useless. On the other hand, it gives me some fun, so it is not absolute useless (for me).
You can always talk to me in clear words, that is no prob. You are one of my "oldest" DA friends, and i like that you say what you think.

Mine is slightly more advanced. but in the core, it only has phone functionality, a basic text editor, and the music app. and that's pretty much it. so i wouldn't call you crazy for using one of those everlasting old phones x3
I spend most of the time on the computer myself. so i need it to not be a living hell ^~^ i need to say that these things stunning to look at, but eventually for me they become an issue rather than a nice thing. eventually i tend to have as much free space as possible. with the important things ( meters ) in large fonts and such, with less important things being as small as possible.
Well, and while i also liek to allow myself to let my own thoughts out, when i am tired or drained out my words happen to sound much harsher... a tiny defect i got ^^
But yeah.
Also, regarding typing, it is actually ok. and long responses are not needed in return ^^ i was just kind of ranting too much.

This is much harder to do than the Lion logon. The Lion logon has a simple background which can easily be used for overlays. The prob isn't the round picture. It is the area around it. Hard to explain.
