Oh, j'avais oublié que tu étais français/française aussi ^^ Moi j'en ai pas encore eu d'aussi belles de pies, et pourtant j'en ai un aussi de 120-300mm :S Il faudrait vraiment qu'un jour je m'intéresse plus particulièrement à elles, parce qu'elles ne sont pas si dures à trouver et que j'aime ces oiseaux

awesome focus, how did U do it? I never could focus those birds in motion. The camera just seem too slow or can't see the bird to focus.

Magpies are quite easy actually as long as you give them enough space to have a long and straight light. As they are really contrasty birds, the camera can focus quite easily

You got it right : I wanted to say straight flight and not light
Yeah, a 100m is not enough, I will say that a 300mm is perfect : not too long as it doesn't help to have the bird framed well, and not too short so the bird can take a good proportion of the picture. A 300mm f4 is the perfect lens for that job.
