    I was wrong… so very wrong… to let this going on for so long.

    “I love you, (name).” he smiled.

    “Hmm, I love you too, Levi.” I smiled back at him.

    The slightly (taller/shorter) man leaned closer to give me a kiss on the cheek.

    “Don’t stay up too long. We still have school tomorrow.”

    He slowly caressed the side of my face lovingly and I couldn’t help leaned to his touch.

    “You too. Be careful on the way.”

    And just like that, the warm touch of his hand on my face vanished. He smiled at me one more time before he turned around and walked away. I kept watched him walked away far enough before muttered under my breath.

    “How stupid can I be…”



    I was busy doing my forgotten homework for the last lesson on lunch break. We were on the same class, Levi and I. But he didn’t even spare me a glance as he passed my seat and left the classroom. Instead, your friends dutifully gathered around your seat like always.

    “It’s rare for you to forget your homework.”

    The girl casually pulled a chair next to you and sat down.

    “You’re free to help me if you want, Annie.” I smiled without looked away from my notebook.

    “Man, I’m glad I got Berthold to taught me that yesterday.” He said as he sat down on the seat in front of you.

    “You did homework together?” I spared a glance at the two guys in front of me in disbelieve before looked back down on my note. “You could have invited me, dammit.”

    “We’re sorry, we thought that you definitely have finished your homework…” the tallest guy in the group apologized.

    “Its fine, Berthold. You don’t have to apologize. It’s my fault to forget this homework even exist…” I faked out a sob.

    They made fun of me for a moment before Reiner brought up a new topic. Something that I really don’t want to listen.

    “Did you know that Levi dated Eren from first year?” Reiner whispered and leaned closer so that no one else can hear beside our group.

    I stayed silent at his question.

    Berthold looked surprised for a moment before he spoke.

    “I thought that he dated an upperclassman named Erwin?” he whispered.

    “So the rumor that he went out with Petra from 2-C is wrong?” Annie decided to join the discussion.

    “Tch, even Petra got taken by him…” Reiner responded solemnly.

    “How the two of you know that Levi date Eren or Erwin?” Berthold asked.

    “I heard from the first years from the volley team. They said they saw Eren and Levi got wasted on some nightclub. Danced drunk, made out and all.” He shrugged.

    “I overheard it from Hanji. She said that Levi took her out on a date with his bike.” She explained it curtly.

    Now the attentions were all on Berthold.

    “I saw them the other day on the basketball field. Just the two of them. I thought they were just playing around but then they started making out…” his voice faded as he got embarrassed from the memories.

    Ahh… I could feel my heart got stabbed with every word they said. I felt so numbed by the pain that I didn’t even recognized what I was writing at the moment. I couldn’t even hear their voice anymore… all that I heard was the sound of my heart beat so fast out of anger, jealousy, envy, and all the other negative stuffs. Maybe I could even hear my heart shattered to pieces for the countless time.

    “(name)?” Annie patted my shoulder.

    I looked up to face them with my blank face painted with confusion. Masked everything that I actually feel completely.

    “What?”

    “You’re awfully quiet. What’s wrong, man?” Reiner asked worriedly.

    I just laughed seeing their worried faces.

    “If you have time to gossiping about other, why don’t you guys just help me with my damn homework already?” I huffed and slumped back against my seat.

    “That’s it?” Reiner asked in disbelieve.

    “It will be faster if you just show me your homework though.” I grinned back at them.

    They back to teased me and finally Berthold gave in and allowed me to copy his work when the lunch break almost over.



    Even when we were on a date, Levi would always give a smile to every girls or guys that looked at him.

    “Hey, stop that. Don’t just openly flirt in front of me.” I said playfully as I jabbed his side with my elbow softly.

    “But isn’t it rude not to smiles back at them? I was just being polite.” He smiled sweetly at me that I forgot my jealousy for a moment.

    “But do you have to do it right in front of me?” I pouted at him.

    “Are you jealous?” he teased.

    “What if I am?”

    “Then I’m sorry. I won’t do it again, okay.” He placed a quick kiss on my cheek that made me feel butterflies in my stomach.

    “Of course you won’t.” I stated with a smile as I hooked an arm on his and told myself to forget all about it.

    Even though I know damn well it’s just another lie…

    I mean… Levi would always do the same thing even though he knew what he did would hurt me. But he did it anyway. While awfully aware that I’m in pain because of it.



    Even when we went to the night club. I would watch him danced with few different people each night. Awfully close and intimate. I just leaned against the bar and watched him. After a song or two he would came back to my side drenched in sweat. Then he would kiss me deeply before he grabbed my beer and we just talked.

    I tried that sometimes. I left him to dance with random girls or guys that attracted to me. As I danced with other people that pressed so close to me, I watched him. Completely unaffected. Just drank his beer and enjoyed the music. Levi never spared a single glance at me.

    When that happened I would stroll all the way to him. Kissed him deeply like he always does. And he would only grin at me.

    “Done already?”

    I know that he never care about me…

    “I only want to dance with you.” I whispered as I dragged him to the dance floor.

    Still I kept coming back to him…

    “Of course you do.” He stated as he pressed his body close to mine.

    And he would smile triumphantly.



    I didn’t know how many times it would happen before I break. But I guess I already broken long time ago. So it won’t be a problem to end everything now…



    We were pressed against each other as we danced to the music. He would kiss my neck every now and then. Our hands were couldn’t stop from explored each other’s body. He would lock his gaze on me the whole time with a smirk on his face.

    That damn devilish smirk.

    I matched his smirk with my own. Pressed my body even closer to him and leaned close to his ear.

    “I’m breaking up with you.”

    I felt him gone stiff after that. I pulled back with a blank face to watched him looked at me in disbelieve.

    “Good night, Ackerman.”

    I used his shocked state to run away. I couldn’t let him to catch me. If he did, I’m afraid that I would just crawled back to him again. I won’t let it happen but Lord knew what he did to me to make me fall head over heels for him.

    I was wrong to let it go this far…

    But now it’s finally over.
