I was sick yesterday, so I put Netflix on, and this movie, Legends of Oz was on, so I watched it, and okay yes there are some bad songs in there, but have you seen these characters, they're adorable. Scarecrow and Wiser and Marshal Mallow , please go watch this movie, regardless of the reviews okay.Related content

I recently watched the 1939 Wizard of Oz (with Judy Garland y'know lol) and I noticed that there was *something* going on between Scarecrow and Dorothy, not very obvious but it felt like it was a missing subplot and what do you know they actually DID originally plan for there to be a sort of subplot romance between Dorothy and Scarecrow/Hunk (his Kansas counterpart)! I freaked when I saw that! There's actually a deleted scene with the Scarecrow when he after he sings "If Only I Had a Brain" he sings a little extra about wanting to be "worthy of her (Dorothy's) hand"! Ah! I screamed when I watched that! But they cut that whole subplot out due to time constraints and making the film shorter.
In any case it's really not all that farfetched to think that these two would have a romance, since it was actually planned to be that way in the first place! Love your work it's soooo adorable and just mmm so cute!

That's very interesting, I've never seen the deleted scenes before! I always thought they had a special connection though, at the end I seem to recall Dorothy saying she'd miss the Scarecrow most of all, and I'd always attributed it to it being that she spent the most time with him as he was the first one she met on her journey, but it makes sense they would have an attachment.

Aw, thank you! It's one of my favorite movies, even though like you said, not the best. But it's still got some really cute moments and character designs. It was also one of the last movies I watched with my dog before he died, so it's kind of special to me in that way.

I thought Scarecrow was cute in this version X3 I kinda like pairing him with Dorothy too.

Haha, it is pretty cute! There's a few annoying moments, but nothing a fast-forward button can't solve. The characters have some pretty good designs though, it's definitely worth a watch, especially on a rainy day with plenty of snacks!

Aw man. I had Netfilx for awhile, but am now too cheap for it. (Or...my sister is, anyway, and it's only $8!) I've wanted to watch that show!Β
