i was watching the new anime from Gainax called panty and stocking there a dog in that show that look like GIR from invader zim the dog name was CHUCK. they look kinda close. you think?>(Gir)-Invader Zim. (Jhonen Vasquez) (Nickelodeon)

Chuck was actually a character inspired from the show Invader Zim. The creators purposely made him to look a lot like GIR.

I have heard that comparison a lot. I also heard that Panty and Stocking was inspired by American animation styles and Chuck was a kind of homage to Invader Zim's Gir. It could be a character that is just blatant rip or just looks very similar, but I haven't found any info one way or the other. But truth be told, I don't really care for the series so I haven't done a whole lot of research.
Any way, great piece! I especially like Gir's steams and the shading really add to the beauty of the work.

yah, i thoght the same thing, with the powderpuff girls. but the powderpuff girls has 3 girls and panty and stocking has 2. but the show( panty and stocking ) give off a old skool cartoon-network feel to it.
and im not liking the new cartoon-network real shows. its no linger car toon, its jest network now. im sad what cartoon-network has become~

If I remember correctly, Jhonen thought it was funny to see a similar character. <3 Chuck, also, really nice job on the reflection look. I haven't practiced much with reflections myself.
